We got a variety of dim sum and the unlimited hot pot. It’s a very nicely put together restaurant, and the staff are friendly. However, the service is incredibly slow. We waited 45 minutes before anyone came to our table to ask if we wanted drinks. We ordered two items off the dim sum menu, and they were out of those. Asked for two other items. They were also out of those. And finally resorted to just spring rolls and dumplings. The dumplings were mediocre, at best, and the spring rolls were over cooked. We waited an hour and fifteen minutes before any food was brought out. Finally, the hot pot came out, and its presentation was poor. Food was just piled on the plates on top of other items. Both broths in the pot were very bland. Altogether, it wasn’t an experience I’d recommend to anyone, especially for the price. It was advertised as “All you can eat hot pot - $29.95”. Little did we know, that’s per person. And it is definitely not worth that amount. I’ve been to many other hot pot restaurants all over the country, and the price of this hot pot was way to high for what you get. I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you want to be...
Read moreI’ve been here many times over the last few years and each time the service gets worse and worse. Today was the last time I will be returning. After waiting without being even acknowledged for over 25 minutes, I went and found a staff member and asked for help. He was extremely rude and told me I would just have to be patient. I told him that I had been patient for almost a half an hour and multiple people had already walked out that were here before me. I tried explaining that I was just waiting for a pickup order that I had placed 2 hours earlier. The order was not ready 30 minutes after my scheduled pick up time. I got my money back and told Marlon (the name on my receipt for who refunded me) that after all this they still had not even acknowledged their mistakes or even said they were sorry. At the point he said “oh sorry”. I shouldn’t have to point that out. I won’t be returning, staff there clearly do not care about...
Read moreDon't be intimidated by the Mandarin-heavy signs out front. Xin has a good variety of foods that should sate just about anyone.
They have the typical "American" style Chinese dishes like Kung Pao, and Beef with Broccoli, but they also have some more interesting Chinese and Korean dishes. I found the Boken Champon to be very good (they tell you that it is spicy, but I didn't find this to be true). The Salt & Pepper Prawns and Sweet and Sour Pork are also very tasty.
Prices are good for lunch time, typically $8-$10 per dish. Dinner prices are pretty high, around $15-$20 for the same thing.
We ordered carry out and it probably took 15-20 minutes for them to prepare the food, so it definitely isn't...
