I lived here my freshman year at Purdue and got stuck in a room with 7 (SEVEN) other roommates. This is more of a shot at Purdue housing than Shreve Hall. Shreve Hall itself is a nice dorm for freshman students. I definitely recommend studying in the basement area since it seems relatively new and there is a good amount of space. The rest of the hall is okay. It is nice that they have AC. It seems a bit dated and I did experience brown water in my dorm room which was disgusting. Overall, it is a middle of the road...

Please consider saving money on insurance and start replacing steps with ramps. Less tripping and falling equals less injuries means students not missing classes. Nor as many annoying lawsuits for bad injuries.
Consider 2020 the ADA goes from passive as in waist for people to file complaints.

We have AC, communal bathrooms have doors instead of mere curtains, and there is a nice new study space just outside. The dorms are spacey. The CoRec is just outside, and so is Starbucks + so many dining halls. The only negative is that Shreve is 20 minutes away from the academic buildings but taking the free campus bus ...
