Every since they remodeled the store, it is just so roomy to shop in. Love the larger carts. They have so many great deals. After the dollar store, this is always my second stop in my shopping run. Let's see... specifics. Pros: *Great gluten free selection in baking goods and pastas. *Cheeses (shredded, sliced, and block) galore. *Organic range free eggs available. *Great price on produce. *Love the little snack boxes of chicken and tuna salad with crackers. *Can't stay away from the nut bars at the register. Fav: pecans with dark chocolate. *Every week I peruse the weekly deals isle. Great stuff there. I sometimes have to pry myself from it. LOL *Wide variety of nuts. Sometimes, I would but a bunch of different ones and mix them up to make snack bags. *Sliced mushrooms are always the best price compared to other stores. *Store is clean every time I come there. *Staff is nice and helpful. Cons: *Do not buy anything with bugs flying around on them. This would be the onions, specifically. I shook a couple of bags up and thought I had got them all off. When I took them out at home, there were a few that gave me gray hairs for a few days until I got them with my zapper. *I used to love the vanilla almond milk but they recently changed the formula. It taste off like it is on the verge of turning sour. I don't buy it there anymore.
The only thing that made me give this store a four was the gnats. I hate those with a passion. Other than that, it is a five...
Read moreMy wife and I have been shopping at the West Long Branch store since it first opened. We shop every single week. All of the employee's are usually friendly and courteous. Today was quite the exception. My wife went to the milk case and not seeing any milk on the rack, she pulled it out of the refrigerator to get to the rack behind this empty one. it was then that an employee alerted her to the 2 gallons that were hiding all the way on the bottom. he told her to put the big rack with 2 gallons of milk back into the walk in. She explained that she didn't realize that there was milk on the bottom and that she didn't see it because it was pushed to the back of the bottom shelf. she had already hurt herself pulling it out. That was not the end of it for this young employee.25 minutes later while my wife was on line to pay, he found her and proceeded to tell her to go back and push the big tall case back into the refrigerator walk in!!! I can hardly believe that this happened to her. My wife is all of 5 foot tall and 100 pounds. today is July 16th, 2020 and this happened at about 2:30pm in the West Long...
Read moreFood and vegetables always fresh and tasty. I especially like the seasonable household items, bought my first computer there, went back for two more when friends tried mine. I also got my small CANNON camera there about 20 years ago,, still working. The staff are very helpful especially if buying a large box, a computer chair, taking it to my car. The selection of chocolates in the first isle is always a pleasure. The large size jar of nuts is a better price here. I also like the selection of books and toys for gifts. There is a large section of dairy, fish, pasta, bread, pastries and cakes. The purchase of heavy duty plastic bags for 10 cents is an ecological bargain. They are large enough to hold a lot of items. Once home, they can be used to hold laundry, books or magazines, and become waste baskets for home and car. Perhaps the best part of shopping at an Aldi store is the size of the building. One can find everything needed in 5 or 6 aisles, interesting new and useful items and free parking. If one store is out of a popular item, there are more stores within a 15...
