I'd been wanting a **reason to go to Lupo Pizzaria!
Food To give a fair standardized shot I ordered the OG pizza *"Margarita" and a pasta Bolognese. No fuss items. Easy stuff. The pasta was impressively al dente. The bolognese was leaning heavily to the sweet side, but was confidently packed out with authentic ingredients. I ate the whole thang. :D *The Margarita pizza description did not include garlic, but did mention "fresh basil". As for the basil we won't get into semantics (whole basil leaves versus baked in strips). However, there was no need for the significant chunks of garlic tucked away in the baked mozzarella. (Because, that would make our pizza the "Grandma" *La nonna instead of the "margarita" *La margherita per the menu descriptions).
location/ dining area I was most impressed by the atmosphere. It totally had the franchise well thought out vibe (not lost pizza co. Or surf taco vibe, but think very much uncannily Bubbakoos..)
Ordering From sizable bi-fold paper menus we choose our fate. We ordered at the register, after having a seat. The menu has proper depth of choice considering that Lupo also offers pizza to go by the slice. The descriptions of menu items were thorough albeit, de facto loose in hindsight.
*What arrives at the table is nothing to sneeze at "il Lupo" šŗ has decent eats. My final word; Lupo pizzeria is a quality over quantity kinda place at heart.
**(Me and my pal whom has the title of chef conferred upon him were poised to a conversation about teaching pizza making, so we seized on a pizza restaurant to set the tone)
Take my review with a grain of salt. (I am well versed in pizza, pizza ingredients, and pizza making various styles included from scratch. The same can be confidentiality said about pasta dishes, pasta making, choosing, making sauces, from the sofrito and fresh tomatoes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible experience. Ordered a vodka margherita Detroit pie with chicken added on for delivery Saturday night. Unfortunately the pie was delivered at 10pm the time the restaurant closed. I called same time and went to voicemail.
With no other option, I called again the following morning. After explaining the situation multiple times, their resolution was for me to ācome in for someāslices and I canāt talk longer because thereās customers and no one else workingā.
Essentially unable to refund the difference (~20% of my order value including tip) or deliver the appropriate pie. Instead, making the customer go out of their way for āfree slicesā.
Expected more accountability and better customer service to a recurring customer.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have only tried the pizzas from Lupos but have done so on numerous occasions. The flavor of the pizzas we have ordered, especially the Fig pie and the Capri pie, were quite delicious. What we have found, though, is that the crust on some of the pies (Fig and Capri) need to be cooked a little longer to hold up to the ingredients and give a little crust crunch. Additionally, I think it would benefit the Fig pie if the prosciutto were more finely diced as some bites tend to pull off half the slice toppings as the prosciutto sloces are not that easy to "cut" with your teeth. I only add this as potential fine tuning for these pies as they are already very delicious and, as proven by our purchase record, aren't deal breakers. All in all, you will be rewarded with a delicious pie when ordering from Lupo. Definitely...
