I took a laptop there to have the keyboard/mousepad replaced. They said they'd call me the next day or one day after to give me a price.
3-4 days went by and no call so finally I called. They acted like they didn't remember they needed to work on my machine until I called! They said, 'oh, we'll have the price for you tomorrow.'
I called two days later - same story, 'we'll have the price for you tomorrow.'
Then I called two days after that and they said they had just found the part and would text me right back with the price. Well, I took "right back" to mean sometime in the next few minutes.
But I never heard from them again. Not even in the next few days.
So finally - TWO WEEKS AFTER I ORIGINALLY DROPPED IT OFF, I went by and told them I was there to pick it up. They said, 'oh, okay.' Offered no explanations, no excuses, no apologies - nothing. Just 'okay, let me go get it - it's in the back.'
They brought it out (after making me wait about 10 minutes - even though no one else was in the store) and there were some papers attached to it.
He finally explained that the part we needed (keyboard and mousepad) simply wasn't available. They said they had checked everywhere and no one had it. They said they had gotten one and tried it but it wasn't a fit. So they gave up after that. Problem is - they never bothered to inform me of what had happened so I could have picked it up a lot sooner.
When I got home I looked at the papers that were taped to the top of the lid and they were printouts from eBay with a keyboard & mousepad on it that looked just like what I needed.
So apparently, the real reason for the delay was - they were ordering this part from sellers on eBay. And you know you have to wait several days for an eBay order to arrive. So probably 3-5 days they had to wait, so they figured better just to stay out of sight and out of mine so I wouldn't call and bother them every day about it. So they decided simply not to reach out to me at all and only respond if I took the initiative to call them.
I imagine they were pretty much panicking behind the scenes. Trying to figure out what excuses they could give me to cover up the fact they only source they had for parts was eBay.
Fact is - I don't mind that. It kind of makes sense in today's world. They could have just told me and I would have been fine with it. But instead I lost two weeks without my laptop.
And I'm about to lose another week writing this review! So I'll conclude here. Just stay on top of them - call them every day if you have to or you could be waiting a...

This place is where I always take my computer to get a fix, the price is inexpensive, affordable, and Mr. Bustamante takes care of everything, I was able to get a quick peek inside his lab, the place is very neat, he has all the equipment needed to fix your computers or laptops. At this place anything can be done, from upgrading to fixing a burned chip.
I've gone to many places before to have my computer fixed, but I always end up with some sort of problem afterwards, like missing drivers or programs, or deleted pictures and it was very frustrating, but now ever since I came to Compuworld computer service, it has been my place to bring my computer.
