Las Palmas — Restaurant in West New York

Very disappointed with the price and the food.First off let me say that the waitress brought the chimichurri sauce that comes with two house spicy sauces to our table. The sauce looked as if it's been sitting out #1. Out for a long time, I'm talking about hours and #2 at another table before it was brought to mine. It seemed as she brought me the leftover of another table that had just left. I asked her to change it and she basically filled it up with more sauce but I could tell it was the old one. I was starving so I said ok. I ordered the breaded shrimp with a side of black rice as an entree. Because the appetizer didn't bring any sides. $25.00 what!!! When I received the bill. I was shocked because I got received the smallest side of rice I have ever seen it could have fed a two year old. Definitely not for an entree. I was sharing this meal with my fiance, it was something quick while we shopped. I have dined in the restaurant many times as I used to live there and grew up there. Went there today as I haven't been in a a really long time and the food USED to be the best in town. The rice was greasy and not seasoned well. The shrimp tasted like they were previously frozen for X amount of months and they threw them in the fryer,not fresh how it used to be. The sauce was watered down and like I said before seemed to be the remaining of the previous customers. So much so that the food made both of us nauseous and I know the way they prepare the food isn't fresh like it used to be. They are cutting corners and you can taste it and see it in the food. This used to be my favorite restaurant but this was definitely the last time I will ever eat at Las Palmas in West New York. They need to change the way they cook/save the food. Good Morning, I am a frequent customer in this restaurant as I have lived in West New York my whole life. On 02/18/18 I ordered 2 steak sandwiches through the phone like I frequently do but I also like to go in the restaurant and eat with my significant other, in a table always. I don't like eating the be bar as the smell of food bothers me so close because of where they grill the churrasco. Unfortunately we could not take the food to go so I asked the woman if we could just have it to stay, she answered that it was already packed to go and I told her that it was fine she did not even have to put it on a plate we just needed to eat quickly, she said she had to ask the manager. The manager who I always see came by and told me ''You always do this, you order the food to go and then you want to eat it here''. I felt highly offended because that's not something that I do, I order to go and take it to go. I am a manager at walmart and customer service is first, on a busy Sunday afternoon this manager told me this in front of everyone, even if I had done this before there was no need for her to do that. I asked who said that and the waitress pointed to another woman across the bar who said ''yeah this is the second time you do this''. I understand if maybe I had done this why it would be called to my attention but I don't and even if I did I was not asking to get the food food for free or for them to change my order, I was just asking to eat it there. On 11/9/2020 7:30PM my wife called to place an order for pick up but for some reason she was placed on hold for like 10 minutes while still listening to everyones conversation in the background. I ended up having to go in and place the order. As soon as I get there one of the waitresses began yelling at customers "get out cause they could get a summons there are to many people in here."I waited 15 minutes just to place the order then had to wait another 20 minutes to get my order. As I go grab my food one of the waitresses snatched my ticket from my hand (sulema)and I replied to her are u ok are you mad or something. She replied I need to make sure that everything is correct. I didn't say anything just walked out with my food. I get home after paying $64.13 and notice that I'm missing the rice, maduros, and the yucca. My wife called them to have them deliver the rest of the food or maybe just refund some of the money for the items not received. The manager ( Gillermo) advised me that it would take 30 for a delivery to arrive. She asked for a refund back to the card and the manager said no. He then told me just come down and I'll give you $10 back in cash. Mind you I live 15min Away as soon as I get there the manager. Told me flat out I don't have to give you anything. I told him sir you called me to come down. I ended up just leaving cause I was not going to fight over $10. I even showed him a picture of the meat of how under cooked it was and he didn't even care.
