NAILS DESTROYED. NASTY, RUDE OWNER. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!! HUGE RIP OFF FOR THE QUALITY OF CARE AND SERVICE!!!!

Just off the phone with the owner. One of her nail techs destroyed my nails with no Acetone — mind you she just proceeded to blame me for not saying something to her nail tech, when there is a huge language barrier between she and I and I am also very shy — another nail tech did the same thing on my friend that I came with. After my nails were so brittle I could bend them in half, I asked the technician to fully cut my nails, due to breakage. To top it off i had to ask for the filer to shape my own nails 3 TIMES. I sent an email on her website (which apparently doesn’t even go through, called the day after, I guess their phones were broken cause i must have called 10 times.

As I am getting my nails done, an entire seminar was being set up. I was leaving the bathroom and tripped over a cord that had been plugged in while I was in the bathroom, thankfully able to catch myself on an already fractured foot. I explained this to her, and it did not seem to make any difference. She showed no lack of empathy of remorse that I could have been really hurt due to the negligence of her staff.

Her response to all this: “I am sorry, but there is nothing I can do for you because you didn’t tell me the day it happened and we used a special gel that helps with making your nail thicker. If I wasn’t happy with my manicure I would stop the nail tech. You have 10 fingers.”

(Pardon me, I have the courtesy to not distract you while you are setting up your seminar in the middle of my expensive manicure. My apologies.)

I am a long time customer and have heard through the grapevine that she is an abusive boss, and a very mean woman. I singlehandedly witness and confirmed this today. For her to lose me as a client over less than $100 is insanity. I will never go back to this salon, and will never recommend it again. This salon is slowly deteriorating, and it is a shame because it is beautiful, but apparently the countless seminars have not shown her nail techs enough to put acetone on the gel before removal.

I don’t think there is much more I can say than see ya never again! I can pay way less for much better service AND customer service. The customer is always right. A business starts from the top, and this is a clear, honest reflection of the Salon.

Let me start off by saying that this from now on will be my go to salon regardless of cost especially if they continue they’re work ethic. i went to this salon because i had heard so many amazing things about it but the cost is what held a lot of people back from returning. To be honest it wasn’t that cost was or wasn’t an issue i was just really exhausted of going to nail salons that never did exactly what i asked for or gave me excuses or just attitudes to fix something i paíd for. First of all the receptionists are a delight very helpful when scheduling I do recommend you schedule for a full set of nails. Upon arriving I was scheduled with a nail tech that was able to take my appointment, now being that this is a Spanish neighborhood most of the employees first language is Spanish, which is fine I’m all for Hispanic owned businesses. Considering i am Hispanic myself, i too speak Spanish. When the nail tech realized I was a young new client they passed me off to one of the new hires (i guess assuming i either wouldn’t tip well or be ok with paying for an expensive design) which i must say she was an absolute delight very patient and so willing to work with me. The salon is very clean & the shop owner which i recognized from the Instagram account was very attentive to both her employees & clients of the establishment. I really recommend this place to EVERYONE, if you’re on a budget obviously this might not be the place for you. But you know nice nails aren’t cheap, and for the quality you get i promise the price makes...

Ladies, let me put you on real quick...

I was desperately in need of a pedicure and happened to be on Bergenline Avenue when I spotted the cutest nail spot — Rose Nail Spa (I believe that’s the name!). I didn’t have an appointment, but I figured I’d try my luck and just walked in. I asked if they took walk-ins, and they were super sweet and said they could take me in about 15 minutes. Perfect!

Now here’s where it gets good: They offered me a drink before my service even started. I asked for water, but the girl was like, “Oh no, honey, we have options — hot chocolate, coffee with creamer, hot tea, red wine, mimosas…” I was like, forget the water, give me that mimosa! And it was the cutest little mimosa too — I felt so pampered.

My pedicure was done by a lovely woman named Marina, and let me tell you… she’s a whole experience. The pedicure lasted a good hour and 15-20 minutes, and it did not feel rushed. She was so detail-oriented, took her time, and gave the best massage. I swear she took years off my feet — I felt brand new when I stood up!

I also got a mini manicure and went with white chrome, and my nails legit look like little pearls. ✨ They had sooo many chrome polish options — I was in heaven.

No gatekeeping here, ladies — if you’re ever near Bergenline, this is a must. Call your girls and make it a spa day. I got there around 9:30 AM and didn’t leave until close to noon, and every second was worth it.
