I would like to start by thanking Ms. Tracy, the best teacher I have ever had in all of my schooling. Since I walked into the school and toured it I knew this was my dream and I had to continue my education at this school. The first day I was scared I didn’t know much of what I would learn and how much I would love it but when I walked into class all my classmates were so welcoming it felt like a family already. I have made such good friends from this program that I will have for a life time. I want to thank the front desk staff for always having a smile on there face when I walked in to school in the morning, Laura for always helping and being there even after finishing school and wanting to help others in this industry to thrive and succeed, Carlos for always being on points keeping the school fresh 24/7 and always around the corner when you needed help with anything even if there was a language barrier, and to all the friends I made while going through this journey. The rest of the staff that I didn’t get to spend more time with are also wonderful, every teacher at Hollywood institute wants you to be successful in your future and career. I couldn’t have done this without the support of my family and teacher, ms. Tracy, Hollywood institute to always motivate and keep you going forward to finish what you started. If you are looking to expand and make something FOR YOURSELF you should come here . Back in 2022 was the first time I came here to get my Nail Technician License. I had Miss Susan she is wonderful. Since then I’ve been my own boss as a licensed nail tech . Allowing me to get the opportunity to come back again for a different Trade . This year I went back to Hollywood for my Skin Care License and Electrologists License . Mrs.Ida for skin care if the BEST , all the stories about how wonderful she is and how much she really loves her job is true. You will become an excellent aesthetician under her . Mrs. Tracy is my Electrology instructor. And let me tell you I was nervous just thinking about having to take a STATE BOARD EXAM. But Mrs. Tracy gives out these little packets of with games , word puzzles and more all for each chapter we are on . And that alone will give you the confidence you need to pass the exam. Playing each word puzzles and BINGO GAMES the answers will stick to you faster than trying to study out the book . I love that from Mrs. Tracy . And not the Mention the Barber Teacher John and Hardy although I never been in their class . They are so welcoming and fun to be around. And the amount of people I know personally that are BARBERS all came from this school and was taught by them . That its self makes me want to come back AGAIN to expand my trades even more. DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!!! Unfortunately, I chose to enroll for the night time english cosmetology course. ON MY FIRST DAY, the instructor tells me that she will no longer be working there and that admin has not found a new instructor (this was news to me because they signed me up without telling me). I still tried to be optimistic and have faith that the school had a plan for my education until we were provided a new instructor. My optimism started to fade when there were days where we had no instructor and we were told to hop into the Spanish class (the Spanish instructor had about 8-13 other students to be worried about). With constantly going back and fourth between instructors and substitutes, I was not able to learn absolutely anything. I was forced to take and work on clients when I was not confident enough to do things on my own and, honestly, should not have been working on them because I didn't have the proper knowledge to perform certain services. I did bring this up to my instructor at the time and he yelled at me in front of another student and told me to "get over it. That's the way the school is structured". I also had instructors form different programs make comments about me not taking clients and that I need to get over it. Overall I had a terrible experience, so terrible that I had to drop out half way through the course. You have...
