12/12/2023. Now I'm a fraud. I never asked nothing free from this terrible place, I don't know why they are calling to me. Everyone can check what I'm posting here is proven. They ask me to change the evaluation so that you, the customer, never know what they do after signing the financing.

A person claiming to be a customer service manager called me and began questioning me regarding the comments. After I said that this was prejudice, he put the phone on speaker and after a few seconds they started laughing because I was a foreigner. As you can see, there are photos in the review and I prove everything I said, but here is their response, as well as their response 5 years ago and recent comments, and just look for years of review, you are the worst, and everything here I proof Today (11/21/2023) I went to make my first payment and discovered that my motorcycle was financed in 96 months and not 48 as the promotion said with a rate of 1.99%, once again I was mistaken. Ryan good morning. My name is Gustavo and I bought a street glide brand new on Saturday morning under my wife's name Giuliana Zechetti. I'd like for you to take notice of what is happening after a signed the financial agreement. I bought, along with the bike, exhaust pipes, sissy bar and ceramic coating. I went to pick up the bike on Sunday morning. Filipe asked me to meet him at 11:30 so he would have enough time to prepare the bike. I went to the HD at around 1:30 and the bike was not prepared like it should have been. The pipes and the sissy bar were installed but the ceramic coating was not applied. Filipe and I went to the service parts and a girl took me out to pickup the bike, someone parked the bike close to the service door and left the bike there, the girl left the place too and I was waiting for someone to explain what functions the bike has. I went back to the store and asked Filipe if he could go outside and explain the functions of the bike. He went outside and started to explain some functions and one of them is I can start it without the key fob, but I need to put the code (the code is the 5 last vin number digits) I asked If I can change the code, but Filipe doesn't know How to do it. The tires were flat, Filipe said that the machine to inflate the tires was broken or not working and I needed to go to the gas station to inflate the tires. I went to the gas station and did it but the light was still on in the dashboard after being inflated (front tire 36 and rear tire 40 like Filipe instructed). I went back to the HD and someone from parts solved it inflating the tire like it should have been. Yesterday I went to HD to get the original pipes and talked to Filipe about the sissy bar and ceramic coating. We went to service parts and Filipe explained what's happening and Dylan, whom I got assistance from, I think he is not happy to work there. I asked him if the bike is checked before customer pickup Because I have had some small problems but its deteriorating our relationship, like no one delivers the bike and explains everything, they just turn and go back to the store and leave me there looking at the bike. Dylan said he is trying to help me. He is trying to help me ? I bought a brand new bike and he is trying to help solve something that the company does? You can ask Derek, I was buying an Indian and I said to Derek that I have always said I never would buy a Harley Davidson and I think that I was right. This morning I suppose to me Felipe at 8:45 but he wasn't there. I dropped the bike there and If you prefer I can take my money back And you sell the bike to another person. First, I want to say that my issue is primarily with the sales staff, and more importantly the ethics by which they operate. A lot is to be expected in vehicle sales. I’m not upset that at the hard sell or misinformation, that is to be expected. I purchased multiple bikes from them having to go through all of the typical song and dance, and that’s fine, it’s on my to be educated as a buyer on the product and in a financial sense. I have no illusion that they are there to do anything besides sell inventory. What crossed the line and what makes me realize that this sales department holds a special place even amongst vehicle salesman is their wholesale abuse and disregard of the “rider to rider” program that they participate in. This is not one sales person or manager, I literally got to watch the entire sales floor conspire against me in the most deceitful possible way. For those that don’t know, the “rider to rider” program is a program Harley Davidson launched and gives their dealers the option to participate in. Put simply it allows private owners of HD bikes the opportunity to offer financing through Harley Financial should the owner decide to go sell their bike on the open market. You must work through a participating dealership of your choice and they take care of everything to facilitate the transaction. In this instance I had spent weeks advertising and listing the bike I purchased from them, building interest in the market until I finally found a gentleman that wanted to explore buying my bike. We scheduled an appointment with the Finance Manager and planned to meet at PBH to move forward. I knew something was off when we got there and the sales team immediately swooped in to sit him down for discussion. They were expecting both of us in advance as he applied for financing on their website and said what it was for and even I took the step to inform them what we were coming in for, which was to meet with the finance manager. To make the long story short, they lied and said, meeting with sales was part of the process. They also lied and said he would have to pick a few bikes from their inventory to test and consider before he could move forward with mine. They had us separated and while they were doing this with him, the other sales manager, including the lead Sales Manager at the desk was telling me about the many fees I would have to pay if he bought the bike from me and that this was a bad program. He lectured me that nothing in life is free and that they are a business and to look at how many of his sales staff are tied up dealing with us and this needed to be paid for somehow. Eventually this gentlemen got up and left the dealership as he was getting the hard sell and not what he came for. At this point, the head sales manager left the desk again to lie and tell me he was not approved for any financing and that if I had anyone else interested I should call them into the dealership now so they can help him. Having a good idea of what happened I myself left and eventually called the gentleman to confirm that he wasn’t approved for any financing to see if we could work something out on a down payment. Here is the best part….he told me he was approved for the entire value of my bike, and that he left because the sales team told him buying my bike simply was not an option for him. Now having fully understood what happened, I recalled the general sales manager having gone out of his way to lecture me about how I was responsible for paying a fee for the time his sales staff were taking to effectively steal my client that I had spent countless weeks working to attract. It is now clear to me that PBH only participates in the “rider to rider” program as a way to get new sales leads for themselves, with zero intention of actually executing any steps of...

I was not comfortable with the sales tactics and deceptive marketing programs at this dealership. The Internet sales team started calling me about a promotion whereby the dealership was offering "retail price" on trade ins. This was in July and just today I got an email blast again promoting this pricing on trade ins, to encourage people to trade in and trade up to buy a new Harley.

Unfortunately, and I have it in writing via an email from one of the sales managers, there is a big catch that they don't tell you about which amounts to bait and switch in my book. The "we will pay retail for your trade in" promotion only applies if you will pay something they call "DSRP" for the new Harley, which is "Dealer Suggested Retail Price", (not MSRP, manufacturer's suggested retail price).

When I asked what DSRP was on the new bike I was looking at, I was told it was the standard Harley MSRP plus an extra "dealer premium" over and above sticker price of almost $3,500. "In order to receive the retail value on your trade in, you are required to pay the DSRP on the new bike."

Neither the email blast I got today from this dealer or any of the many calls I got from multiple people at the Internet Sales Team, makes this disclosure of the "catch" associated with this "hook" in their marketing.

I called 4 other dealerships and got competitive pricing from each one and "none" of the other dealers, even on the very first pitch, made any reference to a premium over and above sticker on the new Harleys. So it certainly seems pretty simple here at Palm Beach Harley. "We'll give you about $3k more for your trade, but only if you overpay $3k for the new bike!"

This type of patronizing "car dealer hustle" marketing was a deal breaker for me.

This dealer was also much higher than others on another "fee" attached to the cost of a new Harley. An "assembly" fee, which was almost $1,500! When I asked what this was, I was told the bikes come in, in a crate and the handlebars need to be put on, so dealers charge for this. Seemed like quite a bit of fat IMO. Car dealers have to take the white plastic off of new cars, clean them, and run them through their shop to prep them for a customer, but they don't add a fee for this!

I dug a little further into this and it turns out it was the subject of a class action lawsuit involving Harley and dealers. After a settlement, Harley Davidson began to disclose that it reimburses the dealers for this "assembly" task, albeit at a nominal amount, closer to I believe $250, so the dealers "are" in fact being reimbursed by Harley Davidson for new bike "prep", but even with that, this dealer tries to add this additional fee on top of what they get from Harley and pass it to the customer. As a test of the almost $1,500, I got a quote from the service department to add new pipes to the bike and got quoted $165 per hour, so they are trying to represent they need 8-9 "man hours" to take a new Harley and prep it for sale? This much time to prep a bike just doesn't sound believable to me and IMO this is just more fat and a "tale". Another dealer confirmed the previous class action suit (which is online too) and the true amount the dealerships are paid by Harley to prep the bike.

This fee was not part of "freight" which was another $700 and perhaps more legit.

Making calls to other South Florida dealers ultimately saved me thousands of dollars on a straight purchase without a trade. Given this dealer is close by, I showed them the deal I had in writing from a competitor, and they walked away.

Perhaps there is some "cache" of having a "Palm Beach" location and they can sell for so much higher...
