Purchased a $1200 washing machine and Allen said it would be in the following Wednesday. We called Wednesday and was told it would be in Thursday, and the we should call Thursday to confirm and schedule delivery. Called Thursday and was told it would be in Friday. I asked if it was somewhere local so that we could pick it up ourselves and was told it is in Chicago. I asked how reliable the Friday delivery time was and was told 90% reliable. I said that I understood the delivery issues were out of their control but I was frustrated that the delivery time kept changing. As soon as I said the word frustrated, Allen interrupted and spoke over me so I asked for a manger. The manager came on the line and immediately said he was cancelling the order because I want everything my way when they are bigger issues going on in the world. I wasn't going to listen to him yell at me so I hung up. Hopefully they will actually refund my money. Really disappointing for a local family owned appliance store to treat...
Read moreI have purchased many appliances over the years from Plaza TV and Appliance. I have also referred friends and acquaintances when they are shopping for appliances. In May 2020 I requested a service call for my refrigerator and that’s when I had to reevaluate my relationship with Plaza. I was asked a few questions regarding my problem and asked for the model and serial number of my refrigerator. When the service man came to my home he asked the same questions I’d been asked on the phone, took the model and serial number from the same tag I had used for that information, then went to his vehicle to check his computer for parts data. When he returned he said the refrigerator was too old for him to order parts. COULD THIS NOT HAVE BEEN DETERMINED DURING THE PHONE CONVERSATION!? I feel I’ve been taken advantage of and my phone calls and conversations with Plaza to remedy this issue have been unsatisfactory. Sorry Plaza, no more referrals from me! You dropped the ball...
Read morePeople here are rude, not helpful, and not professional. They "fixed" my appliance, when picking it up, the staff didn't know how to turn it on, plug it up, or what was fixed on the appliance (no information, just wanted me to pay). When I brought it home it broke again. When I notified them, they were rude and condescending like I'm rude for wanting my appliance that I paid hundreds of dollars to have fix, to work. When returning it, Dave just left it on the floor and said "you'll figure it out/you'll have help later." Overall, my experience as an honest customer was horrible, I usually don't write reviews but, I hope their "people skills" gets better. Being rude and not knowing how to plug in/turn on a appliance at an appliance store is not a good sign. I would NOT recommend or go here EVER again. They're incompetent and rude, I don't care how long you've been in the business or what's your condentials are, update your staffs knowlegde on the appliances and...
