Michaels — Local services in Westerly

I went into Michael’s in Westerly on a mission: find the perfect gift for my artistic brother’s birthday. I walked out with a smile, a great present in hand, some art inspiration, and coupons to boot.

Michael (yes, the employee named Michael!) literally walked around the store with me on my wild art supply scavenger hunt, helping me bring a big, creative idea to life. They were just as excited about the vision as I was — offering helpful suggestions and genuinely hyping me up every step of the way.

They even suggested a nearby store where I could grab a cute bag and birthday card to complete the gift.

Michael GETS IT. Sometimes you just want to feel like your random Tuesday errand matters — and thanks to them, it absolutely did. Give this person a new job title and raise. Or at the very least, a high-five and an award...

I LOVE Michael's. When it comes to budget minded crafty moms like myself...they know how to win you over. Their discounts, sales and coupons flow consistently and usually offer respectable amounts off PLUS they honor competitors coupons which is awesome. The local one here in Westerly, RI is by far the best one I've been in solely due to the staff. They've been helpful beyond belief and guided me through multiple projects I randomly took on. Would like to see more high-end yarns and patterns for sweaters. Prices are good when you can hit a sale. Coupons are useful too. If you submit your email and create a logon in the app you always have access to some coupon or other that is currently running. Just open the app at the register and let the cashier scan your coupon from your phone. I like the fact that you enter your phone number in silence at checkout. That is more private than announcing your phone number where all the strangers standing behind you...
