Casa Della Luce — Restaurant in Westerly

I've been a regular at Casa Della Luce since 2016, back when my firstborn was in a carrier car seat. The food has consistently been excellent, whether it's the pizza, salads, fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant fries, or garlic knots. My personal favorite is the Chicken Scallopini - Piccata, which I often order whether dining in or taking out.

Today, my children and I enjoyed the Chicken Parmigiana and Piccata, and because the portions are so generous, we were able to split each entrée into two. The team was thoughtful enough to include four garlic knots instead of the usual two and portioned the salad into four, allowing me to enjoy the meal alongside my kids without the hassle of dividing everything myself. Their attention to detail is always impressive, and the executive chef even took the time to check in on us and see how our summer was going.

Casa Della Luce is also a fantastic option for catering. I've hosted events with over 175 guests, and their pastas, baked dishes, and more have always been a hit. Even during the challenging times of 2020, their team went above and beyond, running food out to us and expressing gratitude for our continued support.

The manager is an absolute sweetheart. Today, I witnessed her handle a tricky situation with someone loitering and smoking near the entrance. She managed the situation with patience, respect, and kindness, ensuring the individual felt welcome without interrupting service. Her leadership was evident, as she communicated with her team that the person was harmless, keeping everything running smoothly.

I also appreciate the little touches, like the drawing pads for kids and how the staff directly engage with my children to ensure they’re enjoying their meal too. Casa Della Luce is truly a special place, and I highly recommend it for family meals, special events, or just a good time...

The food is absolutely phenomenal!! Appetizers and entrees alike exceeded our expectations! The service was speedy! The atmosphere was lovely! Our meals were sheer perfection! They kindly made adjustments to the dinner I picked, making it vegetarian. We ate so many delicious appetizers (eggplant fries, garlic knots, salad, and clam chowder) that we didn't have enough room to finish our entrees. Casa Della Luce has the best garlic knots that I have ever had in my entire life! My husband said the clam chowder was the absolute best he's ever had! Sheree (I apologize if it's misspelled) waited on us Saturday evening. She was absolutely wonderful! Kind, friendly, and extremely patient with me (as I'm sometimes difficult). We were craving Italian food on the last night of our vacation and we chose Casa Della Luce based on the reviews. Our waitress Michelle was great. Attentive without being intrusive , great attitude and very professional. The food was exceptional. I had perfectly done eggplant parm and my husband had chicken parm that lived up to its billing as “the best in the state”! All in all a wonderful meal with great service. We returned home to NY the next day and discovered that we had left our credit card at the restaurant. A quick call to CDL and Russ said that he’d mail it back to us.
