My mom and I have been coming to this Kroger for grocery pickup for a while, and today was the last straw.
Last week, I came to this Kroger to pick up, and while they were quick, the girl who gave me my groceries wasn’t pleasant and seemed like she didn’t want to be there.
Today, my mom went to go pick up groceries at her time that she signed up for, and she was told by an employee who walked outside that it would be another half-an-hour before it was ready. I get that it’s Súper Bowl Sunday and they’re understaffed, but that’s unacceptable and should have been communicated prior. My mom went to a restaurant to pick up food for us and then came back. She called telling them that she was there and that she was in Spot 2. She waited 15 minutes for her groceries to come out and watched several other cars that came after her get served before her. She called back, and they told her that she pressed Spot 1 not Spot 2, which is completely false, and then they brought out her groceries. They usually give a paper with substitutions on there, and they didn’t, claiming that they just got done - they should have ensured that a substitution list was generated before even bringing the order out.
EDIT: They also didn’t communicate stuff they were out of. A good 1/8 of our order - mostly stuff we were planning on making meals with this week - was out of stock, so now we have to find time in the middle of the week to go get these things.
Not only have we had issues with their pickup process, we’ve been given terrible produce multiple times since we started regularly coming here. I get it’s a risk having someone else pick produce, but to give someone rotten/not good produce is not okay whatsoever.
We will be taking our business elsewhere at this point between the Logan St. Kroger and this Kroger giving us terrible experiences and the other Krogers in the area being too far...
Read moreI have been going to this store since it opened in early 2000s. It's right around the corner from my house so convenience has been key. There was a time when every employee was helpful and happy. I would now drive 20 miles to get better customer service and pay more.
From reading the reviews, it would appear this stems from poor management, if the managers are not happy or don't have proper training, well how can you expect employees to learn better behavior or treat customers with respect. Kroger Corp should read these reviews and ask, how do we correct this? Perhaps they are but not moving fast enough.
Listen Kroger, there many choices out there, at some point you will treat people with enough disrespect well, profits go down and we are gone. Don't think it will not happen. One thing this pandemic has taught us is no one is exempt, many businesses have folded. The strong will survive,.
There was a time where the pharmacy knew all my family members names, they cared and helped us when needed,. These days, I'm a bother for them because they have to do their job or have to deviate from punching numbers on the register. Please lose the attitude, we are all just trying to make it, if I can save 5 bucks a month, well that adds up-help us out here. Its always one excuse after another. Frankly I'm over it, we the customers keep the lights on. I understand I'm just a number, those numbers will dwindle. Hopefully when you lose your jobs the next place will train you better on how to treat others.
I have said my peace, hopefully not on deaf years....
Read moreMy wife and I have been loyal Kroger customers for many years. Years ago, Kroger really seemed to care. They had competition (Marsh) and acted as though they actually wanted your business. But no more.
Want to have a cashier ring you out after 10pm? Too bad. Ring yourself out, and don't bother to ask for an employee discount, you won't get it, even though you have just become a Kroger cashier.
Do you love paying premium prices and bagging your own groceries? You will love Kroger! They always seem to have half of the baggers they need at any point in the day. Are we at Aldi's?
Does your company have a research and marketing team? If so, they need to be fired!
Are you aware that plant based foods are the fastest growing market in the food industry? Yet with all of the thousands of innovative, delicious plant based foods being released daily, your company is still selling the same bland, boring plant based items you were selling 5 years ago.
Fake meats are everywhere, but your less than innovative practices at procuring them seem as though "resting on your laurels" has become the norm. Sadly, a lack of competition has made you surly and lazy.
We cannot wait for Miejer to show up. They seem to at least try to bring innovative, new plant based foods to our community. Maybe their corporate offices are actually following sales trends.
Keep doing what you are doing Kroger, we will soon be speaking of you in the same past tense as Marsh and O'Malia's. Or ...
Step up your game and act as though you want...
