After going to Napa and getting literally no help at all, I confidently walked into this store to correct a power/battery problem. It started as any other trip to an automotive parts store as I asked the individual at the counter if she could test my bat/altinator. The person seemed happy to do so and immediately prepared to help and off we went. It turned out to be the alternator and it had a lifetime warranty. So in the parking lot I removed mine (after the same person gladly let me use a socket to get the job done) and took it inside and received a new one. I put it on the vehicle and could not even get it to TRY to āturn overā. Not understanding the problem and beginning to feel somewhat defeated I asked the same person if she could then test my battery again, and again she happily and quickly did so, only to find my battery completely drained. So she took it right inside and began to charge it! After the charge was done she then brought it back outside and after installing it we tried to start the vehicle with no luck. At this point Iām completely defeated š© and at a loss, as I live in another state and am really far from home. I thanked her for her help and she apologized for not being able to help any further and went back inside. So there I sat beginning to think about the hundreds of dollars that I would need to spend to get myself and the vehicle back home (Which I did not have). Thinking I was completely alone in this far away place I began to get emotional as I did not have many options atol. š¢ out of nowhere she returned with another person and a video on her phone and within 15 mins this man not only found my problem but also fixed it and in no time my car was running again! I learned somthing from these two individuals that day! Being a mechanically inclined person, this man taught me how important it is to have a circuit tester! And Iāll never forget it! She taught me that some people REALLY do care! and if I went to ANY other store that day I may not have such a fantastic story to tell! She didnāt give up and neither did he! I want to thank Victoria and Tim from the very bottom of my heart and I will never forget it! When I lost hope there they were with a hand full of tools and a video that made my problem simply go away! These Autozoners deserve...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am not usually one to write negative reviews, but this is deserving of one. I have a 2003 Honda Pilot and have had issues with the starter going bad rather quickly. I had replaced the starter on 2-9-23, and replaced it from the store in Broad Ripple. It went out again on 2-11-23 and I called the Westfield AZ and they had my starter in stock. When I walked through the door, I was waited on by a man named Casper. I had the starter in my hand and set it on the counter and inquired about the starter they had in stock. He looked it up and quoted me $136.95, and I told him I had a warranty starter right here, and that is when his attitude kicked in. He said "it would have been nice to know that in the beginning", to which I replied " did you not see this starter I set on the counter?" From that point, all he offered me was attitude. Extremely disappointing from a company I have done tons of business with as a shop owner over the last 13 years. Funny when one goes in unannounced, he gets treated like the average Joe. Not something to brag about for sure. I know the market for finding employees that care is tough. I would emplore Auto Zone to take Casper off the counter and have him unloading trucks, because he has zero business working with the public in any capacity. He is rude, arrogant, passive aggressive and small. All I wanted was to exchange my starter, and he riled me up to the point of spending more time writing a one star review than it took to change out the starter. With the choices Americans have when it comes to purchasing auto parts, is it really worth having someone at the counter with zero customer service skills?
Casper. Not nearly as friendly as his namesake. I wish I could give...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought my car in for a new battery in August. I had a good experience as they replaced it right there. A few months later, my battery kept dying. I brought it back in and was informed that they cannot take the battery out because it is a Volkswagen. However, given they put it in, I was stuck. They referred me to CarX across the street. After going over there, they determined it was a bad battery. AutoZone then said they would bring a new battery over. An hour later, I called because I was still waiting and they said it was a communication error and they'll bring it right over. They then brought it over and CarX fixed it. I didn't appreciate spending over 2 hours at CarX for them to fix AutoZone's mistake. CarX was great, but they shouldn't have to cover for AutoZone. Next time I'll just go to CarX (literally across the street) and have them fix. Thankfully I was always able to jump my car when it died. The first time AutoZone replaced my battery, they needed to reset the computer in the car and never did. Because of that, my battery got fried causing it to repeatedly fail. Could have...
