Read moreNormally shop somewhere else but they are opening a Meijer grocery right next to my house so I thought it would be cool to get familiar with Meijer. Well the prices were high but the store was nice, clean and stocked so just figured you paid a higher price for service no big deal. Well I was in there for a lot longer than I planned and had a cart overflowing with almost $400 in groceries. When I went to check out only self check out was open. They had just closed the regular lanes at 10. It was just past. I asked if there was anything they could do and they said no. I was expected to bag what came to $360 in groceries in one of those singe check out stands. I should have just left the food there to spoil and I would have if my son was not with me and such a help shopping tonight. In the end it took me a half an hour to purchase and bag my own groceries and don't worry the machine froze up the second it had a problem scanning a bar code to accuse me of stealing. This place is just not worth the extra money. Poorly...
Read moreClean and nice feeling inside, but I’m sure that will change as the building ages. I mostly do pickup and it used to be pretty good but lately their stock has been terrible; they regularly cancel about a quarter of my order don’t even try to sub for other products; they even give expired/rotten produce (ie went shopping on 12/21 and they gave me a bag of visibly dry, gross baby carrots that expired 12/13). On another trip I ordered bananas that were gray instead of yellow (how does this even happen?) and split open already. The only way to contact them about this is to call corporate and no, I’m not sitting on hold for 30 minutes to get my $1.29 back. Just give decent produce - they do have it if you go inside, they just won’t give it for pickup orders. Employees inside seem pretty unhappy. Generally this is still a better pickup and shopping experience than the Kroger nearby, but that’s not really...
