Outstanding Care That Puts Both Pets and Parents at Ease
As nervous pet parents of two young Bernedoodles (ages 1 and 4), we were initially anxious about boarding our pups. Barkafellers Westfield has completely transformed our experience and given us incredible peace of mind.
What Sets Barkafellers Apart
Shared Accommodations for Bonded Pets: Our two dogs can stay together in a private suite, which significantly reduces their separation anxiety. This thoughtful approach shows they truly understand pet psychology and family dynamics.
Real-Time Peace of Mind: The internet-connected webcam in their suite is a game-changer! Being able to check in on our pups whenever we want has eliminated our worry completely. Thereâs nothing like seeing your dogs relaxed and comfortable when youâre away.
Exceptional Socialization Program: After a thorough temperament evaluation, both our Bernedoodles were placed in group play with about 10 other compatible dogs. The joy they experience during these extended play sessions is obvious - they come home absolutely exhausted in the best possible way, sleeping soundly through the night after dinner.
Customized Care for Special Needs: Our pups have dietary allergies and require specific supplements. Barkafellersâ intake process allows complete customization of feeding schedules and medication administration. They handle every detail with professionalism and care.
The Real Test: Happy, Healthy Pups
While our dogs are always thrilled to see us at pickup, itâs clear they genuinely enjoy their time at Barkafellers. Theyâre relaxed, well-exercised, and obviously well-cared for. The staffâs attention to each dogâs individual personality and needs shows in every interaction.
Bottom Line
If youâre hesitant about boarding your beloved pets, Barkafellers Westfield will quickly put those fears to rest. Their combination of professional care, modern amenities, and genuine love for animals creates an environment where dogs donât just stay - they thrive.
We now book with confidence, knowing our Bernedoodles are in exceptional hands. Highly recommended for any pet parent seeking premium boarding with a...
Read moreStarted my dog in daycare in April. She has been attending twice a week and it has been going great. Picked her up 2 weeks ago and noticed what we thought were scratches on her side. Spoke with staff and was told the dogs play rough sometimes but there were no incidents reported with my dog. Two days later I had to bring her to emergency vet. The vet identified the scratches as puncture wounds from bites. She needed emergency surgery due to infection but will recover after multiple vet visits over the past 2 weeks. Communicated this to Barkefellers and asked if video can be checked to see what happened to my dog. Owner (Jordan) reached out to apologize but initially wouldnât check video. He gave a âtheoryâ as to what could have happened that involved the incident possibly being my dogâs fault. He said no one reported anything that day. We called back again and he finally checked video. He then admitted video showed the staff made a mistake and put 2 siblings in same area as my dog. One of the siblings attacked my dog which was witnessed by staff. Staff are not supposed to put siblings in same area with other dogs. Owner explained staff did not report incident because they didnât want to admit mistake. My dog sat at daycare all day hurt with no one telling us. We could have taken her to vet right away and avoided what she had to go through the past 2 weeks, and the $3500 in vet bills. I know thereâs risk in bringing a dog to daycare but a location that doesnât admit mistakes and/or thinks it is ok for dogs to sit in pain all day is not where I will do business. Was the owner of the dog that bit my dog notified? Is that dog still attacking other dogs? What other mistakes are kept quiet? They paid us $300 from the insurance policy and refunded the remaining balance on our punch pass. We will not be bringing our dog back there again for anything. (Daycare,...
Read morePretty disappointed honestly. Initial impression was good but now that we've picked up our dog after the holidays I'm not sure what we paid for. We paid for 3 days boarding, a bath, nail clippings, the works. The all day play and cameras to watch was nice but that's about all I can say that's positive.. now that we've picked him up and brought him home 12/26, I'm going to have to clean out the back of the car as it smells like feces and urine. He had feces caked in his paws.. he looked fine but I also didn't think to check his paws as I figured surely they wouldn't let him out like that? Wrong.. i just spent the last 45 min cleaning his paws only to still smell the feces and urine on him and now my clothes... I'm going to have to bathe him myself and wash all my clothes in addition to cleaning the car out. What did I just pay for? I get you have many dogs but why did you just charge me? I had plans today that now I'm going to have to cancel to undo what you've done after I've paid you over 220$ for 3 days.. great work guys đ you really...
