I made a huge mistake today and left my purse in a shopping cart. I called the store within 15min of leaving and noticing I didn’t have my purse. No one had turned it in but the manager said she would go look in the carts and I headed back to the store to look. Upon arrival I spoke to Lulijeta. The lines were long, the door alarm triggered at least 3 times as employees (including Lulijeta) run to check for shoplifting. It’s days before Christmas so you can imaging the store is packed and hectic. Lulijeta was finally able to tell me that no one still had turned in a purse and they did not find one. I asked a rediculous favor of her. Would there be any way you can check the cameras and just verify that I came in with the purse? I sure didn’t want to waste any more of their time looking if I misplaced it somewhere else. To my surprise she looked me and my son over and said she just wanted to get a good description of us so she can check the cameras! WOW!!!! Honestly, I don’t know of any other retail establishment that would have even entertained this! While she was looking My son and I frantically search the store and employees over their radios are asking again if anyone had seen my purse. 2 employees possibly managers also said they believe they had but thought it was an un purchased purse that just needed to be put back away. They both jump in to help look. All the while there is a shoplifter in the fitting room that was about to steal probably several hundred dollars worth of merchandise. The 2 employees did their best to help me but had to excuse themselves to take care of that! Completely understandable! Police were called for the shoplifter as she stormed out of the store. In the meantime I was told I had indeed come into the store with my purse. At this time The other 2 employees join us to still try to help me. A women approached me asking if I had lost something and I reply my purse. She said “I have it” she was done shopping but was waiting to see if anyone looked as if they had lost something and she was just heading up to the front to go turn it in! What a blessing! I offered her the only bit of cash I had and she would not take it. We embraced, the employees thanked her, I thanked her profusely!! I thanked the employees wry much also. Lulijeta. You have a tough job there but you all need to be celebrated for the way you treat people, truly care about your customers and still holding others accountable! Read moreI would normally leave a 4 to 5 star review I was able to do a layaway for Christmas and making payments along with pulling it out today Yolanda was amazing she was super nice and very professional. My complaint comes in after the fact. My sister and I came back to finish up our Christmas shopping and she realized when she pulled out her layaway this morning that she never recieved her 5.00 bonus. We brought this up to the lady who was also helping her this morning she had pink hair. Not only did she talk to my sister and I like we were dumb. She also copped a snotty little attitude with my sister for no reason. We spend thousands of dollars at burlington every year and have never experienced anybody so rude. She needs to not work with customers. I understand it's busy it's close to Christmas. But your job is customer service you should fake it til you make it. I work in customer service as well and would NEVER ACT LIKE THAT GIRL DID. Needless to say. After dropping 800 dollars this Christmas ad long as that PINK HAIRED GIRL IS THERE I will not be back. If the return policy was all money back onto the card or cash I would have returned every item and I would have brought my business elsewhere. Read moreI really enjoyed shopping here until now. I was told I couldn’t do a hold for a day and I had to put it on layaway. So came back to pickup my items but didn’t need a few of them because we found other things at another Burlington. Then I was told I couldn’t take items off my layaway but that I could purchase the layaway as a whole and return my unwanted items. Annoying, but I did it. Then they tell me I can’t get my money back for the items it’s only an in store gift card for completed layaway items! The manager came over to basically tell me too bad even though not a single employee told me about their layaway policy! I now see Burlington is very money hungry and not truly wanting to serve their communities with the way they just jacked over $150 from me!
