I cannot recommend this store as I had a less than adequate purchasing experience. I bought a mattress in mid August of this year and was told that I had 120 days to try out the mattress. When I first started to use the mattress, I experienced some minimal back pain and decided to give it some time in case the issues would resolve once the mattress was broken in. 3 months later, the back pain increased and so I decided to give the store a call. I was well within my trial period so I was not anticipating any issues. I was told that in order to return the mattress, I would have to pay $240 to the store; around $100 in restock fees as well as over $100 in delivery fees. I was very surprised as these fees were not mentioned to me during my time of purchase. I was told that even if I were to return the mattress and exchange it for a new one, I would lose $170 in restock/delivery fees. This has all been very disappointing and I would not recommend buying a mattress from this store. It's very unclear what the purpose of a trial period is if it will cost the user around $150-$250 in the case that the mattress is not a good fit (i.e. causes pain).

Previously, my review rating was 1/5 stars due to a lack of transparent communication at the time of purchase regarding the mattress return policy. Since my original review date on November 14th, 2023, I was contacted by the store manager via phone and email. I explained the lack of communication regarding the exchange policy and the cost it would incur, and the store manager provided his understanding and apologies. Given the omission on the store's part, the team offered to accept my mattress return at no cost incurred to me. I thanked the team for their prompt response, transparency, and good faith repair effort.
While I would still caution others to consider whether they are comfortable with the risk of paying the return fee (if they should purchase a mattress from this store that isn't a good fit), they can rest assured that the team is helpful, quick to respond, and driven by their values regardless of mistakes that may be made. I have been wanting a purple pillow for my birthday and so we went to a mattress firm near a target I was so giddy I went in there and made a quick 360 look around and didn’t see anything so I chose to resort to my worst fear asking an employee. My fears were correct she snapped back at me and said “No we do not sell them here go somewhere else.” I was astonished by the workers rudeness and so we left and looked up where they do sell it. There was one next to our Costco that we go to so we decided to go there. As soon as we got there I saw the purple marketing and knew that I would be coming home with a purple pillow. We walk in and go straight to the purple section. There was a few and I found the one that I had came in for. Once we found it a lady that worked there came up to us and said “Are you thinking of buying this?” And we just said yes and she led us to the place where we make the purchase and we explained how I’ve been wanting this since I was in the womb and for this birthday I decided it was all I wanted. She said yes it’s a great choice I’m still wanting to get it but she didn’t which is odd because she was telling us how amazing they were and recommending it so much. At this point I realized she was just trying to sell us the pillow because it is pretty expensive and she would be closer to a raise. We bought it and while we were making the purchase she kept bringing up a survey for her service so she could get a raise. She then told us that it was not in stock and we would have to order, that was crazy and I almost had a heart attack but luckily I didn’t but what I did do was accept because we didn’t want to drive around the state just to get the same response. Read moreMy wife and I went to the Mattress Clearance Center on West 88th to look for a mattress. Here we met Ryan. First, Ryan asked what we were looking for. He listened and then had us lie on at least 8-10 mattresses. We were able to find the one that fit our need- firm and budget. We must have spent at least an hour finding the right one . Ryan was a very good listener and was the reason we were able to match our comfort need and budget. When you look for mattresses, definitely lie on the bed and take your time. I was also happy to go to a clearance center because the selection was tremendous.
The second part of the experience is the delivery. The team was tremendous . They came at the expected time . There were 3 people on this team which was great. There was a small snag about a mattress and box spring that I wanted hauled away. This team couldn't do it at this time. This is where Ryan came back into play. He wasn't done with me . He worked with his team and set up a pickup for the following day. The pickup was on time and the mattress and box spring were hauled away.
From start to finish, everything worked out well. I would definitely think seriously about going to the Mattress Firm Clearance Center,for your mattress and bedding needs.
