Good morning! Always wanted to try le peep and this Sunday morning seemed like a good chance to do so. They are very popular for good reason and typically very busy so we opted for pickup / to go ordered online. The site has good options to customize ingredients-based on the food we received I think they could take it a step further. They were very busy when I ordered at 1:15pm and I endeavor to be empathetic, but most of our food was woefully undercooked. I understand that they get into a hurry and may not have time to grill them or see them to where they’re cooked well but these were cold and somewhat raw inside. See photo. We ordered the salmon Benedict which is accompanied by peasant potatoes. Does that mean uncooked? Not being snarky. Their hollandaise was exceptional and lemony — should have ordered extra. Smoked salmon was generous but would have like to had our English muffin toasted for ingredients to have a crunchy foundation for the Benedict. Is that not a thing?? It was soggy but yummy. We ordered the pancake of the month — lemon ricotta blueberry. Good flavor but very disappointing they provide corn syrup flavored like maple syrup. Overall, not going to ding them - the food will last three days at my house. I’d much rather have a smaller portion properly cooked. Had to ask for our lattes which were dead cold immediately after preparation. I asked if silverware was included that I asked for / checked as “needed” online and I asked if it was in the bag. Nope. Got to eating and no silverware. Also no ketchup as requested. All In all, feels like their to go customers are in for a wild ride with quality disparities. Sorry le peep!! Not your best...
Read moreNow dont get this four stars twisted. There really wasnt anything "wrong." Today was the first time in about 15 years that I visited a Le Peep. I have to say, not bad. I had no expectation going in, so already a notch up lol. Sadly, the one day I choose to do my taxes out of town and have breakfast, just so happens to be a holiday weekend (I dont celebrate holidays so I completely forgot). It was really crowded and still only had a 10-15 minute wait. Finally was seated in a two person booth and the waiter for our section was prompt and polite. I ordered the Belgium waffle. I know pretty basic, but this outing really wasnt my plan or my treat soooooo.... Any way, the food arrived in about 10 minutes along with the hot syrup. Not bad. Also had a side of bacon. Not as crunchy as I prefer but it wasn't mushy. Under-cooked bacon is the worst for me. (Slight tangent) I had a burger that had under cooked bacon on it once. I wont mention the restaurants name but I didn't have it my way for quite some time after that. I digress. All in all the experience I had here was not bad at all. The young staff didnt look like they hated their job. In fact, they seemed to want to be there. The food was pretty good. My only gripe... I found a hair in my butter. I'm not one to complain but man a hair. To be fair it could have been mine, however, I didnt find it until I had cut open the scoop of butter. Idk. I didnt mention it only because it may habe been mine buuuuut.... On one hand I was like send this thing back and make a scene. On the other hand I was like just eat around it you'll be good. What did I do? "Hey I'm trying to lose weight any way so just...
Read moreFirst of all, don't use groupons here nor at any Colorado Le Peep location. We payed for that groupon and it felt a lot like we got scammed. Seeing as this restaurant is locally owned, this probably isn't their fault. I respect that. The issue of this place is the service. I felt belittled by the staff. I'm not sure if this was due to the fact that we had a groupon or what, but it was a terrible experience. I mean my friend tried to substitute some chocolate chips in a pancake for the sausage on the side because they don't eat meat. After much deliberation the waitress said that they could only do "meat for meat". Really? That's not an issue because of cost or difficulty, that is an issue because they don't care enough about their customers. The place wasn't even busy that day. The food itself was ok, but nothing special. When we went to pay we we're told about how they do not accept the groupon, even though we asked when we walked in. Again, we felt belittled as the waitress explained why they don't accept it. Apparently there was "nothing she could do" because they still charged us full price. Overall just a terrible experience. We've been to the Le Peep in Boulder which has the same exact food, but an amazing staff and will even substitute sausage for chocolate chips!(because it's soo difficult) Also, the one in Boulder gave us 10% off because they felt bad that we spent money on the groupon. I won't be going to the Le Peep in Westminster Le...
