Epic Fail: First Bank - The Three-Ring Circus of Incompetence
Title: Frustration Galore: A Nightmare of Failed Deposits
Rating: ⭐️☆☆☆☆
Prepare yourself for a tale of unparalleled frustration and ineptitude as I recount my recent experience with First Bank. In what can only be described as a circus of incompetence, I found myself driving to not one, not two, but three different bank branches, only to discover that each and every ATM at these establishments was as useful as a screen door on a submarine.
The sheer audacity of First Bank to force customers into such a ludicrous scenario is mind-boggling. In an age where convenience is paramount, this bank seems to revel in taking its patrons on a wild goose chase. Three branches, three attempts, and three colossal failures.
Let's start with the inconvenience of physically visiting multiple branches. Who in their right mind still thinks it's acceptable to subject customers to this kind of archaic ordeal? In an era where technology is supposed to simplify our lives, First Bank appears to be living in the dark ages, blissfully unaware that other banks have moved beyond such preposterous practices.
Now, let's talk about their ATMs – or, as I like to call them, the "Deposit Deniers." After making the effort to drive to each location, I was greeted by ATMs that seemingly scoffed at the notion of accepting deposits. It's 2024, and apparently, First Bank missed the memo that modern banks have ATMs capable of performing basic functions. The complete lack of deposit functionality is not just an inconvenience; it's a spectacular failure on their part.
In conclusion, my adventure with First Bank was a masterclass in how to alienate and infuriate customers. The trifecta of driving to multiple branches, encountering non-functional ATMs, and navigating the entire ordeal without any support showcases a level of incompetence that is truly awe-inspiring. If you value your time, sanity, and basic banking expectations, steer clear of First Bank. It's a three-ring circus you won't soon forget – for all the...
Read moreThis branch of FirstBank seems to be stuck in the 20th century with no interest in catching up to other banks or even just to other branches. My experience with them over 20+ years has been nothing but a repeated display of incompetence and I am usually forced to go elsewhere to solve the problems they create.
Good luck trying to establish a trust account here that is accessible through online banking or any 529 College Savings Accounts. I went through two weeks of a comedy of errors before it finally worked and even now it requires a shuffle between multiple accounts. I don't dare ask them to try to fix it!
Even worse, in a staggering display of waste, they also expect you to bring in a complete printed hardcopy of ELECTRONIC documents before they will notarize the signature page. Rather than verifying it in electronic form, they expect you to print and bring in literally hundreds of pages of a document they're not even remotely qualified to understand, just so they can pretend to glance over it before matching your name in the signature block on the last page. Then you have to go shred all of it. The entire purpose of an electronic document is to NOT print it out!!! Just today, they would not notarize the signature page of a standard two-page electronic document generated by the state that was easily accessible online for review and only requires the signature page to be uploaded. Quite simply, the first page could have been printed right there, but the branch manager, Mack Lewis, made it clear that his branch would not consider any other solution in support of a long-term customer. Instead, I went to the branch at Sheridan Crossing on 120th Ave and they had no trouble reviewing the electronic form before notarizing the last page.
Good luck with any task here beyond basic services. You may want to just drive to a better branch and save...
Read moreWent here to get around 10 forms notarized. The instructions were very specific. We worked with German, and he was excellent. He was very patient with us as we took the time to make sure we filled out the documents accurately. We even had to call the company who sent the documents to verify a few questions we had and he waited patiently for us to do this. It probably took us almost two hours to get through all of them. Additionally, he paid attention to detail to ensure he notarized the forms correctly in the right places. He asked us to verify everything before we left and asked questions to ensure he filled things out correctly as we went (like his stamp didn't fully stamp on one page, so he asked if he should cross it out and initial, or restamp). Really appreciate German and helping us get this right the first time! It was very tedious. Also, bonus, FirstBank doesn't charge to notarize documents if you have an...
