I purchased a $1400 Final Fantasy Collector Booster Box from "Card Rush" and was sold a box with all the collector cards removed. These photos and video are just a sample of my evidence. Card Rush knowingly participated in opening sealed product, removing valuables, and attempted to reseal the product and sell to customers as sealed. Do not trust this company. They are known SCAMMERS, COWARDS, and SCUMBAGS. I called and spoke with someone and when I asked the employee about the situation, he said he "doesn't really pay attention" to know if the company holds these practices.
Update: I ended up getting a hold of Mr. Dole himself on the phone. He talked a lot. He seemed genuine in some things. I believe there are difficulties when running a card business as big as his might be, but there is no excuse to resell a returned collector booster box that has clearly been tampered with. IF that is the case. Another thing to consider is that it took too many days for the collector booster to be shipped to me after I ordered it, which makes me think an employee took the cards out and spent a couple days working on resealing it. Whatever the reason might be, if you don't want this to come back on your business, do not sell a $1400 collector's item that you do not confirm and verify through...
Read moreI knew the LCS was going downhill for the last few years but this experience here just made me really upset.
When negotiating with buying a certain card from their eBay store via telephone, I was met with a lot of flip-flopping narratives on whose taking charge. Later on I was told that I would get a call back from the boss in the afternoon. I told Sonny that I would call at 3pm instead, to give them some time to think. Then I found out that they raised their prices on the Azelf from 1500 to 2000 without telling me; greed. Needless to say, I had a few things to say to them when I called them back.
What justified me in giving them a 1* rating is their customer service. Terrible, terrible customer service. Their lack of customer service in greeting me, acknowledging me and even just plainly talking to me was below average. I was litearlly greeted with, "Oh...." after I told, supposedly the owner (Tall, bald, slightly overweight Asian guy) I'm here to buy the Azelf.
Overall, my experience here used to be great back in the days but now, it's just a dirty, unorganized warehouse being ran by greedy people with a below average customer service. I do not recommend anyone to visit or shop here as their prices and customer service will leave you ripped off and...
Read moreTheir tournaments are great, and a lot of fun. They always have a great turnout and it's completely free to play.
However, everything else in the store is not free. In fact, it's all monstrously overpriced. If it's 20 cents online, expect to pay $2-4 at Card Rush. A $5 holo elsewhere - $15 dollars at Card Rush. Just as an example, I wanted to buy a card called Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo. It's $1.50 online, and $17 for the secret rare version. At Card Rush it's $7 for the cheap version, and $60 for the secret rare version. Holy crap!
Fortunately they have a great website that lists the prices of all of their cards. Occasionally you can find some deals, and you can steer clear of the numerous complete rip-offs.
As for the customer service? It's pretty lame. They're not outwardly rude or anything, but nobody there is what you would ever call friendly or helpful. It's all very impersonal, and the employees usually seem very disinterested in whatever you have to say to them.
If you're looking for a tournament, it's the place to go. If you want reasonably priced items and decent customer service, I would recommend Three J's, or really...
