Adal Meat Market may have just opened, but all those glowing five-star reviews clearly come from people who don’t know what real quality meat looks like. The prices are ridiculously cheap — and now I see why. You get what you pay for.

I bought two pounds of sirloin and slow-cooked them for five hours, and the meat was still as tough as shoe leather. I’ve made the exact same recipe countless times using meat from other butchers, and the difference is night and day. There was zero marbling, and the meat had already turned brown from being overexposed to the elements far too long — definitely not fresh.
