I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to work with Flaherty Jewelers. I started a tradition in 1992, when my daughter was in middle school, to give her a charm on opening night for any school show in which she was in the cast or crew. Every year since then - high school, college and now as a high school director I have worked with Flaherty Jewelers to find the perfect charm to represent that year's show. 18 months ago I relocated to California while my daughter stayed in suburban Chicago. Last year I worked long distance to choose a charm and pick it up on my way from the airport to see the show. Unfortunately, I wasn't going to make it back for opening night this year. Not only did Joann at Flaherty's help with the charm and engraving, this year she even made sure my daughter received the charm at school in time for opening night! By shipping it to the high school, Joann kept our 27 year tradition going strong and my daughter was surprised to still receive an opening night charm. I have just picked up my watch from Flaherty Jewelers in downtown Arlington Heights and the owner was present. I explained to her that the service I received two weeks prior was unprofessional, never received a phone call to tell me what was wrong with my watch, went in to pick up the watch and the owner said, well it’s not here you will have to wait another week as drop off isn’t until Friday. I wait. Still no call, went in today and picked my watch up with a price tag of 120.00 to do a full eval from their watch repairman. I took it to a reputable jeweler in town, after not having it for two weeks and they replaced a gasket and it was good as new. I am wearing it 2 hours later! Oh-also paid @100.00 less as well. I've been a customer of Flaherty's since buying my wife her engagement ring 20 years ago. I called Katie a few weeks before Xmas wanting to get my sister something special this year as her husband suddenly passed away earlier last year. When I told Katie what I wanted to do, she put together the attached necklace with my sister's late husband's birth stone on top, along with my sister's and her kids' birthstones on the bottom. It was going to be tight to get it to her by Christmas, and with me residing in AZ even tougher.
