Pure Juice Cafe is a privately owned juice bar in Downtown Arlington Heights that specializes in providing sustenance from Mother Earth and Mother Earth only. I had the privilege of working for Pure Juice Cafe and learned more about my own body and what to put in it in the six months I worked there then the rest of my life combined!
My first photo shows a new addition to the line of Pure Juice Cafe products; hearty soups. Most soups, especially canned ones, are high in preservatives and additives that lead to them being quite high in sodium and generally not the best for you. Pure Juice Cafe's soups are made fresh in store and use natural preservatives like salt and citrus juice to keep. Jammed packed full of the best superfoods these soups are healthy and taste great. Ask if they have a bowl of Vegan Chili, it's a bean and quinoa based heaven in a cup. I used to have a bowl before my shifts, don't tell Paulina!
Photo 2 are the shots, the real miracle workers at Pure Juice. Feeling decongested? Try a Ginger shot. Feel a cold coming on? Flu shot for you. Arthritis acting up? Take a Flexibility shot. Already sick but don't want to go the doctor and be prescribed antibiotics for the millionth time? Take an antibiotic shot. But be careful these shots are STRONG and built for function not for taste!
Photo 3 shows the real winners at Pure Juice; fresh-pressed, natural, homemade juices. From Jalapeno Slim to Beet Factor, Nip-it-in-the -Bud, to Immune Booster, these juices are quite simply health in a bottle. If you have the cash I recommend trying a Juice Cleanse which is an expensive but thorough way to press the reset button on your body, and specifically your digestive tract. But if you are just looking for a tasty boost on the go then grab a bottle and try one out. Feel free to ask questions as the employees are very knowledgeable and will suggest juices and smoothies that fit your taste buds. And if you don't like something and want to try something else they'll even whip something else up for you. Try one of their smoothies too, Liquid Super Chocalate is incredible and miles healthier than a milkshake with the same great taste!
Photo 4 is a Prana Bowl, a delectable mix of superfoods, grains, roots, berries and fruit topped with fresh banana,. Think of it as a chocolatey-blueberry cold soup topped with your choice of crunchy dried superfoods to really add to the texture. I was lucky enough to be able to eat that one in the picture and my was it incredible! So rich and delicious I couldn't even eat it! If you aren't a big fan of cold food, I have sensitive teeth so for me it was a challenge try out one of their salads.
Photo 5 shows that Pure Juice Cafe has your sweet tooth covered too. Using pure raw cacao and vegan baking techniques Pure Juice Cafe has an entire line of chocolates and macaroons that will satisfy your sweet tooth without pointing you in the direction of diabetes. All of Pure Juice Cafe's sweets contain no added or processed sugar using only all natural ingredients to sweeten. The result are some very delicious creations. I highly recommend trying either the "Snicker's Bar", macaroons and bon bons next time you head in. And if you spot a slice of Gnoche Cake snatch that up!
All in all I give Pure Juice Cafe 5 stars.
In a world where big box and franchises are king Pure Juice Cafe is fighting a brave but uphill battle that is more about education then commercial pursuits. Sure the owners of Pure Juice would love to have a huge business with stores all over the place, and I believe they will one day. Right now their goal is to alert people to the fact that changing and paying attention to what we put in our bodies, can lead to a healthier life than any doctor's visit ever...
Read moreI bought a Mushroom Shack ( It was $9 plus tax plus tips ) today, opened it, took a bite, and realized it was completely covered in mold.
I showed it to Halle (not sure if I spelled her name correctly, but she said she is the manager — a blonde lady with a nose piercing) and explained that I didn’t notice it right away and had already taken a bite. She responded with, "Oh wow, yeah, we don’t make it here, but I’ll give you a refund and some points that you can use for a discount in our store." I was already shocked by that response because it seemed like she didn’t really care or even sorry. But I just asked if I could have a salad instead of the points... she said, "No, the salad is $13, and the points I’m giving you won’t be enough for that. And why would you even want to eat a salad if you said you were sick?" Excuse me???? First of all, I never said I was sick. I said that I took a bite, and it was obviously gross, but I assumed the salad would be fresh, so I just asked for that instead. Even if she couldn’t make the exchange, there are much nicer ways to talk to customers. Plus I didn`t ask for nothing that was unreasonable
If you work in the hospitality business, you’re not just supposed to be nice when people are about to tip — you should also know how to apologize properly when a customer is upset after they ate your product. I come here often and spend a lot of money, so I wasn’t expecting to be spoken...
Read moreANY negative review you see of this place is TARGETED and FAKE.
I can assure you, Pure Juice is an AMAZING cafe that offers high-quality, nutrient dense food that is made with love and good intentions.
Some say the prices are too high. My response: invest in your health! You'll spend $15 on a burger and fries but not $9 on a cold-press juice? That's your choice.
Some mention an un-secure website. A quick visit to purejuicecafe.com proves that is false information. They even have a Privacy Policy listed. Any concerns should be directed to the business, not Google reviews.
Anyone who slanders a business because they have nothing better to do is clearly out of their mind. I wish social platforms could target these sort of things, because it breaks my heart to see the same negative things being circulated for who knows what reason.
Moral of the story, GO TO PURE JUICE. DRINK PURE JUICE. EAT AT PURE JUICE. You will not be disappointed!
