UPDATE: YOU GUYS!!!
I, AGAIN, have no words for how incredible this team is!! It's been eight months since I wrote my last review & update: I'm engaged!!! That's not a surprise, but what is a surprise is how beautiful and unique my customized ring is. I'm blown away and don't have the word to describe how gorgeous this engagement ring is. Jim Mitchell out did himself!
I'm including pictures to the review, but just note that the sparkle is 10000000x more beautiful in person.
Mitchell's Jewelers truly made my dream ring come to life! Next step: Our wedding bands ;)
8 Months ago: I don't even know where to begin!! Mr. Mitchell is incredible, and so is the rest of the staff! My boyfriend and I visited the shop months ago in March to begin our engagement journey. Like most, we had no idea where to begin or what we were getting ourselves into. Mr. Mitchell took time out of his very busy day to sit with both of us for some time and educate us on the best stones and settings for a ring. He answered all of our one million questions and even provided expert guidance on next steps. Not only was he incredibly informed, he talked to us as if we were a part of his family. The man is quite a charmer!
Mr. Mitchell had followed up with my boyfriend throughout the summer, checking in on our progress and maintaining a clear line of communication for when he and I were ready to pursue an official engagement.
On Saturday, we had our second appointment with Mr. Mitchell. We decided we were going to create a custom engagement ring: Something that would be able to portray my personality because the traditional rings seen across the internet could not do so. For an hour, Mr. Mitchell listened to me and took notes of the type of ring I desired. With inspiration photos and a descriptive explanation, I have trusted Mr. Mitchell to take creative freedom to create an incredible diamond ring. Now, we are still in the early stages of design, but I felt it was important to share this awesome experience for anyone looking for a reliable jeweler!
Even my boyfriend told me that if it wasn't for Mr. Mitchell, this process would be incredibly stressful.
Thank you Mitchell & Co!! I can't wait to see what you come up with!!
PS- I will update this post when I have a photo of the...
Read moreThis past summer, I went to Mitchell's Jewelers to have a new setting made for four older diamonds that belonged to my grandparents. I was really at a loss as to how I wanted the new ring to look. Fortunately, I came to the right place! I went to Mitchell's asked Jim Mitchell for his expertise. Jim spent a great deal of time with me, asking many questions and then showing me many different setting options and ideas. It was difficult to choose, but ultimately, with Jim's help, I selected a great setting. Jim was meticulous in his approach to the setting even though this was not a very expensive ring. However, it had tremendous sentimental value to me, and Jim appreciated that. He took the time to show me the diamonds individually and providing estimates of their age (one was more than 150 years old). It was a fun experience, and the ring turned out beautifully. I strongly recommend Mitchell's Jewelers and Jim Mitchell for his knowledge and customer service. ...
Read moreHaven't been in this store for years but thought I'd go in again for a few repairs I had. One was a bracelet that was quoted at $75 for the repair. The second was a simple fine neck chain that needed a larger clasp. This was quoted at $12 which I though was fair for a simple clasp change. Today I went to retrieve my jewelry and instead of $87 my bill was over $100. I asked the clerk why the price was different than I was quoted. I received a lame answer that another $12 was needed to solder the clasp to the necklace. This is an extremely fine chain that didn't need soldering. I told the clerk that I have never been to a jewelry store for repairs where I was given a quote and then the price I had to pay was higher. Forget this place. It smells musty and their stock looks old and dingy. That's what I get for trying to support a local business. Good luck! Don't be a sucker by...
