Bay Shore Tailor — Local services in Whitefish Bay

Off the rack pants have never fit me correctly. And when I lost weight the too big waistline was even worse. I took a chance on trying to have a pair of jeans altered to see if it would improve the situation. Someone recommended the Bayshore Tailor to me so I called & explained my anatomical challenges to him & he said he thought he could be of assistance. I drove over to have the first set of jeans' waistband tailored. When I picked them up a couple of weeks later & tried them on I was pleasantly surprised! For the first time in my life a have a pair of pants that actually fit! Since that time I've had countless pants tailored there. Only once was I not completely satisfied & it was because the pants were a size too big for me to begin with & he told me that they probably wouldn't turn out right if he tried to make the waist fit & he was right. So, not his fault. Yes, on occasion he does run behind but I tried a seamstress closer to my house & she was always behind, sigh... at least the Bayshore Taylor is on schedule the majority...

I did not have a good experience. I dropped off my uniform on a Monday and he told me it would be done by Friday. When Friday came around I stopped by right after work at 545 and the store closes at 6. It was not done which blew my mind because it was a very simple request to sew something on. I needed it For the next morning and he asked if I could pick up tomorrow morning. Unfortunately I was unable to do that so he agreed that I could wait 15 min for him to finish. I went to go walk around the mall while he was doing that. 10 minutes later he was calling me angrily to come back right away because he was closing. Instead of apologizing for not having the uniform done in the first place he was yelling at me for making him late for his dinner plans. Long story short he was not professional and although he accommodated me in the end I would not recommend...

Does the work in about 5 minutes. I could have gotten my pants yesterday when I dropped them off. I paid $24 for next day hemming. Tells me to be at the store at 9am, this morning of, tells me a different time when his hours on the store window say 9a to 6p. I ask for a refund or even partial refund since I was waiting an hour for him. He said "No Refunds". I wouldn't recommend this place at all for anything....
