Klode Park — Attraction in Whitefish Bay

This is a great, little known park. It has a beach and a grassy area up above the beach. The park up above has a few recreation areas like a tennis court plus big grassy fields us there are lots of benches facing the lake. But I like to come here for the great views of the lake. Its just simply beautiful! Plus this park is usually not crowded at all, which is a big plus in my book. The lake looked absolutely gorgeous today too...it was that lovely blue-green color! Looked almost tropical.

You can take a curving sidewalk down or there are stairs.

Today my friend and I came here to do yoga. It was very peaceful plus it was just warm enough i could take my coat off too. Very relaxing. We saw ducks and climbed on the rocks a bit too.

In the past I've seen people swimming here and doing other various water sports. I've been coming here for a few years now, at different times of the year. You know you are at the park by the very distinctive rock piles out...

The greatest asset to any neighborhood is the nature it has to offer. Klode Park elevates the White Fish Bay neighborhood to one of the highest levels. We just visit the beach front this summer and appreciate its secluded piece of Lake Michigan. For erosion control they have placed 3 little islands of boulders. These are easy to climb but can be equally dangerous. The beach itself is not great for sandcastles rather skipping stones. Mean while there is a higher tier that is grass covered and perfect for picnics. You will need to navigate the bluff via stairs or ramp so be prepared for a little workout. Or make it part of your workout as a great hill climb. Either way make your way to Klode Park in the summer and venture back come winter. Nature is year-round...
