I went to this gym for some time about 3 years, the gym itself is fine for what any exercise person would want out of it. But a guy named Anthony there seemed cool at first but after time he told me if I signed up 5 people he would lower my monthly payments by 5 dollars. Well after I signed the 7th person up he still didn't stay strong on his promise. Another situation happened with the same person. As I was leaving Fitness 19 he stopped me and my friend and tried to give me fitness tips. I have attended gyms in the past and I am well educated knowing what it takes to be fit. I dismissed his tips by telling him that's not my way and he got a real taunting attitude with me, he told me that some random guy passing by outside the building (a heavy obese man) was my brother because how out of shape he was and that I wouldn't lose a pound. Now not only was I being insulted so was this passerby. The way I see it those unfit people are the biggest business for a place like this so they just insulted their biggest client.
So after 3 years of being a member and maybe less then 1 1/2 years of actually going I decided to cancel. I was told I still owed 2 payments, but I been paying for more then or about 2 years so I figure they shouldn't be patronizing me for more money.
So like I said the gym itself is decent, but the people aren't as decent. If the gym wasn't as nice itself I would have only...
Read moreAmy, the manager, is a very sweet lady to almost everyone. Although I am a lesbian look chubby mid-40 Chinese, she still treats me nice without a judgment. Then, you look at the price, $25/month plus $19 Dues Lock-in Fee with no commitment. It's not bad. Planet Fitness boasts $10/month but there is 12 months contract. LA Fitness $29.95/month with $99 initiation fee, but not sure about their fine print. I was misled by LA Fitness. I will not trust what their advertisement. You have to read the contract to find out the real deal. Although there is no swimming pool as LA Fitness does, the environment is far more welcome and friendly. People in the gym are friendly too. It's probably a good place to make some new friends. They also have the machine to measure and analyze body fat (included in monthly fee, once a month), and trainers and nutritionists to help you reduce where your body fat is. For trainers, I paid $162 for six sessions. Today I had my first session. It almost killed me. So, it's a real deal. Yeah, you can go with Nadeem. He is serious on training your weakness and areas for improvement. After that you can work on your own and get more results. Bottom line, this is a...
Read morePeople leave their garbage on the floor around the gym. The ceilings drip water because they don't change the humidifiers. There is currently a puddle by the lat lull down station. The windows and mirrors are disgusting. There is tumble weeds of dust dirt and hair all around the squat racks. I have now told two employees about this over the last few weeks. Nothing has been cleaned. I give the week day morning guy credit, he at least stays awake during his shift. Most of the morning people have just slept at the front desk the past few years. Paper towel dispensers run at a 50 percent rate of being empty. The employees have a 50 percent pass rate on being able to fill the paper towel dispensers as well. Also the ceiling in the basement has been leaking for years. Not when it rains so that makes it more disgusting. Fitness 19's solution is buckets.
It's been over 3 weeks. They haven't fixed the ceiling. Now there is black mold. The humidifiers never get emptied and it is currently raining inside...
