We were not sure what to expect when we came to visit this place. Some of the pictures we've seen showed white tablecloths. Yet others, showed more of a bar atmosphere. The menu is also somewhat eclectic with burgers, wraps, pizzas featured prominently, but then there is a large pasta section as well. With that confusion in mind, we made reservations and went with another couple wanting to focus on the Italian section of the menu. We were blown away! Our table was ready for us and we were seated immediately after the sanitized it. Flatware was wrapped in plastic bags and provided with the menus. The menu was the same as we saw online so it was not a surprise to see the diversity of offerings. As we wanted to focus on the Italian offerings, we went with the Stuffed Peppers and Baked Ricotta Appetizers. We then got the Eggplant and Veal Parmesan and two different versions of Chicken Marsala - One with the standard fettuccine, and the other with an upgrade to potato Gnocchi. They have an extensive beer list with some cocktails, but also a nice wine list so we selected a Chianti and were surprised at the very reasonable prices, so ordered a bottle to share. The appetizers were great. The baked Ricotta was something we had not seen before and was smooth and creamy. The grilled bread slices were the perfect vessel to hold it and put on the pimentos and other goodies that came with the plate. The stuffed peppers were very tasty and not spicy at all. The wine was a revelation. It was a 2018 Chianti Reserva which was excellent. For $33 dollars it was an absolute bargain! When the main meals arrived, we realized we made a mistake. Each of those plates could feed four people! they were all very tasty and amongst the best in their class. Flavors and preparations were spot on and they were delivered piping hot. Three quarters of each plate ended up in a take-home box! Finally, we could not resist trying a couple of desserts since they were being discounted. Both the raspberry cake and the Buckeye were wonderfully complex and perfect accompaniments to the meal. We basically rolled out of the restaurant having eaten way too much food, but vowing to come back to try some of their other offerings!

Atmosphere- 4 stars- located in the Shoppes at Caste Village this Italian/Pizza restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Modern/ contemporary style restaurant with plenty of tables, a full bar and a private room for parties. Pretty clean overall but bathrooms needed some tidying up. Some of the tables are a-little too close to each other. They also have outside covered seating. Service- 4 stars- our server was Margie. She was friendly and attentive. Food- 4 stars- really enjoyed the food that we ordered. Our first time here so we weren’t sure what was the popular item so we played it safe and ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, wedding soup and cheese sticks (triangles). Everything was very good- my favorite was the cheese sticks and a very nice amount for an appetizer (six total). Very cheesy and a nice pull. Loved the breading and marinara dipping. Wedding soup was good as well. The pizza was very tasty- not the best pizza I have ever had but a solid pizza not the less. Loved the pepperoni that they use here. Would definitely come back and try some other offerings in the future. Highly recommend!!

I loved this place and would love to go back. The Italian nachos (not pictured) were probably the best nachos that I've ever had. The chips in the nachos, I believe are homemade and fantastic. The serving size for the nachos were enough for my boyfriend and I to split and feel pretty full. I got the Florentine pasta as an entree, added chicken and it came with wedding soup. The wedding soup was tasty. The pasta entree was okay. I didn't think it was fantastic, it was good. But nothing out of the ordinary for pasta I think. But the chicken in the pasta was really good. The drink was the electric blue cooler. I wanted something different, it was a good drink but not for me. Not their fault though. It was mixed well, It just would have been a great drink for someone else. I still drank all of it. Our server was nice, our appetizer was taking a little bit of time to come out, so he brought our soup out while we waited. I thought that was a nice touch.

First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. It's quite large with many tables. The place is old. Service was good and no nonsense. Food was better than I expected. The fried zucchini were light, the pretzels weren't the best I've had but were ok. I got a gluten free pizza that maybe was frozen? I got excited about it and thought it was made with a kind of flour with no gluten but I don't think that's the case. Nonetheless the toppings were very good. The pasta D'Angelo was a bit plain but the gnocchi were very good. Portions are large. The Manhattan was ok although quite strong. We went on a Saturday evening, with reservation, and it was probably at half capacity. Parking is always available since the restaurant is in a plaza. It's not a place where I'd have a romantic date but more of a family gathering. Overall a solid,. reliable 3 stars.

Gianna Vias is one of my most favorite local Italian restaurants. It's family owned with great authentic menu items. They have a classic, Italian diner vibe, which I really enjoy. I've ate here probably a dozen times and I've never had a bad meal ~ always an excellent one! I've had a number of menu items including pastas, burgers, panini, hoagies, salads, soups and appetizers. On my most recent visit I had the Tuscan Florentine pasta - a creamy tomato sauce with fresh spinach and sun dried tomatoes. My Mom had the Linguine Pomodoro, which never disappoints. Gianna Vias is also family friendly, so the whole crew can enjoy a meal there! In the past I had the pleasure of attending a private party in the back room. This was such a great gathering spot for a family get together! I will always sing praises for Gianna Vias. I highly suggest a visit.

We dined here because of all the great reviews. (Driving 30 minutes to try it) The food is nothing extraordinary, that you can't find elsewhere. PROS: Large seating area, lots of parking, a bar area, and a party area. Cons: The party room was definitely interruptive of the dining due to flow, because people go in and out of the building (maybe to smoke? ) pretty much nonstop at that party which means they kept cutting by the tables near the wall, and the back of my chair, purse, coat, etc., all kept falling off. Constant motion. Maybe it is not that way on a normal night, but the Saturday we were there it was crazy. FOOD: The pizza was 'eh', but the veal was a veal chop (almost like a cowboy steak) and good, but not enough so to return. SERVICE: Slow, due to filled restaurant, and the party.
