Nail Tech — Local services in Whitehall

I waited an hour in the pedicure chair…the workers are very friendly but they talk so much that it takes them twice as long…when they finally started my pedicure I had been sitting in water for 45 min…I understand when busy but they were not that busy and when I came in they said it would be a short wait. Then the worst thing ever happened they used the callus remover file/shaver and the man was watching out the window and accidentally drug the razor sharp file across the side of my foot by my pinky toe and shaved a huge chunk of my skin off. It then started to bleed pretty bad. He used spray alcohol and cotton to try and control the bleeding. Put it under the UV light to stop the bleeding??? It finally stopped and he finished the pedicure. Then I asked for a bandaid and he did apply that for me. I know the callus file was not sanitized so hoping I do not get an infection. Then the manicure was not good. I did matte on my nails and now less than 24 hours they are bubbled up and peeling. The places is very dirty. Being there over 2 hours I had to use the bathroom which was also very dirty. There was a nail tech that was walking around cussing and talking on her phone through air pods saying very unprofessional things… they still charged me full price even with the cut and the hours of waiting. They acted as if the cut was normal no concern about it. Just got the bandaid like it was normal…Middletown Commons should be made aware that this place is not being held to the standard it should for such a nice area. I'm giving a 3 because the staff are very friendly, but never have I had polish rib off in 1 day! They pushed and pushed for me to get gel (which I would have, but it was a good bit extra.) So I just stuck with regular polish. I don't know if the polish was old or what, but by that evening, it was chipped, the next day they looked awful! I live in a city and this place is more expensive than the places here. My fiance was forgotten about in the chair, then they just rushed through the end of hers. (She doesn't get polish, so she paid extra to be able to get a good massage. That did not happen) Idk..... I just won't be going back here. Had I not been on a time crunch and a car full of people I would have went back and asked for them to be fixed. I spent over $100 and my toenail polish has to already be replaced. Not happy at all, because I'd go Everytime I'm in town, but with the actual service and prices I'll find another salon!

I'm not usually the type to leave and review of any kind, good or bad. However im very unhappy with what happened. I went to get a pedicure and my toes came out ok. They arnt terrible. However I asked for the calluses to be removed as well and the guy went at my foot like he was sanding a piece of wood. When I told him that he cut me and I was bleeding he didn't apologize or offer to compensate. He took a chunk out of my foot. I'm not usually the type to speak up if im not happy with my service I just dont go back. But this really hurt so I asked if I would get a discount off my total. They offered me a five dollar discount. I wish I would have argued more because I'm not satisfied. I feel it should have been free or at least half price for the pain that he put me in. It still stings...
