So I had a sound system put in from these guys and it so far has held up fine. Then I asked them to put in an inverter rated for 400watts so I can charge my Ecoflow battery when I drive. I have a 12v fridge that runs on the battery when the cars off. So this week I noticed the inverter was making a low voltage beep when I turned it on and then it stopped working all together. This is what I found when I took the wiring out. Now I do not know if it’s the fuse, wire, or connectors they used but it burned up. The wire in the photo also had bare copper showing which meant they just failed to use good wire or they reused an old wire. We found that connections were loose and flopping around. We had to tighten two ground connections with better screws because the ones they put in were poor. I’m lucky my car didn’t burn to the ground because of this. I didn’t even run the full 400 watts I said I was because I wanted to be safe. My battery allowed me to choose the charging speed and I set it to 350 watts. Bought a Alpine head unit somewhere else and priced a Viper door lock and install. Decided against the first businesses Viper system, on my way home saw Car Stereo Masters, rolled in and was quoted a much better price including install for the same exact Viper system. Forgot and left Alpine head unit sitting on front seat, when I came back he had installed my Viper system and since he was already behind the dashboard ran the Alpine Bluetooth audio mic for me that I had bought at another business.
