Everything was great except for Isabel or Isabella not sure which it is. I was told she was one of the managers there. She was not our server the whole time thank Goodness but she had to bring our Champagne and boy was she so off putting and unfriendly. She looked around between our table and another next to us confused as to who's tables it was for so my husband waived her over to let her know it was ours she comes and asks if it's for us he says "yes we will take that" excited to have some mimosas before brunch and she keeps the Champagne close to herself and says " but is this for you? I need to know?" as if we were lying about it being for our table?? Her tone was so serious and as if she was upset with us her face looked as if she had it with us. We just looked at her blankly for a moment or two. I finally said yes we ordered it. If she is so concerned about people lying about drinks that they ordered or not she should maybe be on top of knowing who's table she is to bring the drinks to. If she believed us to be lying instead of questioning and offending us she could of addressed it all so much nicer and with maybe an explanation of restruant protocol or something,, anything at all I would of excepted but her facial expression and tone said it all. Which also had we been lying and she gave us the drinks would we not have had to pay for them?? I'm sure we would of been charged for it had we been lying about the Champagne being for our table so I don't understand why she was so visibly frustrated. It seemed as if the Saturday morning rush hour was getting to her and she couldn't handle the pressure and mistakenly had an attitude with us. Thank God for Rachel our actual server she was so sweet and happy and kind with my kids ordering the food they wanted to eat that morning.
Food and drinks here were honestly amazing but man did that supposed manager really leave a bad taste for a few minutes or two. Luckily someone on her shift with actual people skills...
Read moreStarting from the hospitality, I felt like I was back home in Louisiana. The decorations were just beautiful and the ambiance was calm. You feel that all of the staff genuinely loved their jobs. Service with a smile always and on point with everyone in the room. Our waitress Jay suggested artichoke dip and I'm glad she did. There was no hope for that dip. (I was really trying to be a lady and just eat a little) LOL bump that. Now let's talk about those oysters the presentation was a conversation piece alone. These tasted as if someone had just scuba dived into the ocean just for me, you could tast how fresh they were. Actually good with only lemon. Round # three ( steak dinner) Well if you could just try and imagine me doing the superbowl crip walk with snoop Dogg and Dre........ I had no conversation at all for my fiance while I was eating this perfection of a dish. Every thing was evenly seasoned, I hate broccoli, but for some reason my broccoli looked so pretty, and not over cooked just right. To be honest I'm not really a Mac n cheese fan unless I cook it. It was cool, but a little healthy for me. ( I like that heart attack mac n cheese) lol. Now My fiance don't eat bacon. WHY? I believe it's the greatest creation ever. Well he ordered the kale salad which contained bacon. (Alot) Now I truly do believe he ate some bacon off that salad, because it was loaded. But when he finished that salad I could count maybe five bacon pieces that he was kind enough to make himself believe in his mind that he doesn't like bacon 😜 boi bye. Every time was wonderful. I will be back to...
Read moreWhat a treat this place is!! It is known for its weekend brunch but it has a lovely happy hour(HH) that should not be missed!! Happy hour runs from 3 to 7pm M-F. Great food selections on HH.
Ordered the following HH items charcuterie board, oysters(4 ct), pork belly, calamari, rosé wine, Line 39 Merlot, and prime rib dinner from the regular menu.
Surprisely, the HH Line 39 Merlot was a jackpot! It was so tasty and easy to drink. Take your first sip and you'll tell yourself "OMG this is HH merlot!!" Unreal how good it was. Another glass please!
Definitely get the crispy pork belly, calamari, merlot, and prime rib!! Prime rib is only available on Fridays and Saturdays! Just 2 days out of the week. It was tasty and satisfying! The only place I can think of to get prime rib is Houstons or Tam O' Shanter in Los Feliz. Don't bother going so far, get it here!!
Place is fairly new. Has only been opened a couple weeks. Because they are still new and recent changes to table layouts, there was a lot of confusion among the wait staff that evening. Items were being brought out to wrong tables multiple times but it's understandable. Staff was very apologetic and transparent about it. I'm hopeful for their improvement.
The decor is very cute and elegant. Great for intimate celebrations. Place is clean and tidy. Staff is cheerful, friendly, and helpful. Really enjoyed service from Thalia! She's very sweet and attentive! Can't wait to come back here!! Hope to give you all 5 stars...
