Two years ago we would drive by past the farmers market every Saturday talking about how much fun it would be to go, but would never go. Then, one morning when we had a bit of extra time we decided to swing by. There were plenty of parking spots, even though it was busy. We walked around and left there with bags of fresh produce and so much more. Ever since, we’ve fallen in love with going to the farmers market. We’ve made it a mother daughter activity to do together, and we enjoy every moment of it. We will walk from booth to booth, and look forward to see what each offers. Despite the season, there is always stuff here that can be useful for any season. In the fall, they have pumpkins and other seasonal items. Towards Christmas they have all kinds of gifts to gift for any person. In the spring they have lots of plants and goodies to spring up your house, and in the summer they have fresh produce, and so much more! They always have fresh bread, sweets, plants, honey, meat, and so much more! We love getting fresh tomatoes here in the summer, as well as some of the meat bundles that some of the vendors offer. You could live off of everything here, because they have just about anything you could ever need. It’s all local too, and you are supporting your neighbors by buying some of your groceries here! They also have pretty good deals on a lot of their food, and often have new things to try each time you go! We just tried Kombucha for the first time ever this last weekend, and we are hooked! Definitely come on out and see what there is to see, because you won’t regret it! And it’s even great to bring kids to, as they have a wonderful couple that makes balloon animals...
Read moreI love spending Saturday mornings at the Farmer's Market! In times like now where inflation is through the roof, I appreciate prices staying consistent at the market. I love being able to support local businesses and people that help pour back into my community. The Kansas Grown Market is a great place for produce, pre-made meals, bread, salsa, jams, homemade bath and body products, pet products, and pieces from local artists. You can find almost everything you need there! The vendors and kind and great to talk with. Go earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds a bit (it gets VERY busy by 10am) and find a decent parking spot. Also be sure to get some breakfast at Paranormal Eggsperience! Their Squatch Tots are amazing!!! The K-State Extension Office is also a great resource for all things plants!! Their sample garden is beautiful and a fun location to sit and relax! My husband loved the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. I haven't tried the lemon bar yet, but I'm sure they will be great. Spicy J's Seasonings were awesome. They have something for everyone. They gave me suggestions for my taste, gave suggestions on what to use it on, and let me sample before buying. Natural to the corr's pretzels come in different sizes and have plenty of flavors. I bought the garlic parmesan and I couldn't stop eating them. Atteniv euphoric candle co. were lovely. These four melts were my favorite. They smell heavenly.
