I had been going to Schiff’s grocery store since I was a kid shopping with my mom. As an adult I have continued to enjoy this store over the years. Personally my absolute favorite part of the store is the delicious humongous of all my favorite foods. They cater on too of the Felipe’s dinner foods, salads, freshly baked breads, and the very wide variety from a parfait, to Ambrose, add in also delicious and freshly made variety of different cakes and pies/pastries. If you do decide to visit this grocery store in our area that has been around and provided it’s patrons with fresh, delicious variety of meats, cheeses, kid-friendly snack foods, such as my personal childhood favorites the restaurant size bags of chicken tenders and steak fries. Your children will also love Schiff’s large candy section this ranges from all of our favorite prlenmy candy jars that are just waiting for you to take a scoop out of each into your personal penny candy sorbet you had personally selected, and where thousands of children and adults continue to do when you are allowed to fill up a clear-colored bag that soon had so many different and colorful candies that would mesh and interlace, but always seemingly exhibit all of the colors of the rainbow. This seems to be a favorite pastime of OG customers that had been shopping at Schiff’s since they were small children. Many members of my personal family, friends, my neighbors, most, of not every individual and basically slmost would immediately be drawn captivate you as soon as you entered the meat department,?where he resided every day for many years in a he rafters right above futuristic animatronic gentleman would appear so life and danced in the rafters at shoppers would instantly e entertained a be drawn to the one-of-a-kind,...
Read moreFrom my personal observation from this trip, the store appeared to have much more product and alot more selection than usual. Although the actual retail prices were relatively high, I assume it's just how fast the inflation is increasing value of certain kitchen staples, definitely sure it's not price gouging. The meats were less fatty, and packaged weight is well proportioned, instead of finding 'extra' weight hidden underneath meat including blood soaked papers leaking from over absorbance and hidden grizzle. The in-store discounts were well planned, and weekly sales were so aptly chosen, ever as much so I didn't use my coupons and I managed to ration and make out better than I normally do with the quantity and quality of my items. I opted to select the best offers that I could get while staying well below my weekly budget, and even had some change, thanks to the store card. Using the rewards card is super important for maintaining the 3 daily meal essentials and planning for the week. Truly Helps Alot. Also parking wasn't an issue this time, carts were stocked, as well as the products on shelves. The aisles were cleaned and not cluttered with debris, and for once the other customers were courteous, and as for the children in the checkout line they were being good and very well mannered. The clerks were on their " A game " , alert, attentive, patient, and respectful. Kudos to them all for not being snarky. So with all that being said, it was my 1st time in quite awhile that I had a very pleasant time purchasing my grocery order, so much so, I hadn't felt any need to take any anxiety, blood pressure, or nut pills to remedy my nerves or to stop at any establishments to partake of that evening on my way home. Hopefully my next visit is just...
Read moreI don't particularly care for this store to begin with, but I really do not like the staff here. I was here a while back, and I was going to get a few items. Lunch Meat and Cheese in particular. It was a busy time, so my partner and I had to wait in line like everyone else. On our way in, we saw a staff member mopping up something. As we waited in line at the deli, the same staff member who was mopping something up, came into the deli, and started waiting on people. As he did this, I noticed he did not change his gloves he had on when he was mopping the floor. That was such a huge turnoff. From that day on, I never gave this store a good rep. I have told many people I know about the incident and we now usually go to the location in Plains. If I do come to this location, which I still do because it is more convenient, I never buy anything from the deli. Most times the staff isn't friendly at the checkout. Some of them who just rush through customers while they are looking for something on the shelf. Nobody has...
