Faulty Product, Poor Customer Service

I purchased a pair of Robeez All Star Rodney Soft Sole Shoes from Amy’s Cottage at the beginning of November. My actively crawling and cruising son wore the shoes regularly for two weeks when a hole appeared in the sole. Since I recently purchased the shoes I took them back to Amy’s Cottage to see if there was anything that could be done. The owner, Amy, was not in so I was asked to leave the shoes and receipt and Amy would contact me. A few days later Amy called to say that there was nothing that could be done. She went on to say that she couldn’t imagine how a pair of shoes that were worn for only two weeks could show such signs of wear, her own children have worn the shoes and they never looked like the pair I had left at the store.

Takeaway: (1) Robeez soft sole shoes designed for a crawling/cruising baby cannot withstand a crawling/cruising baby, not even for two weeks; and (2) Amy’s Cottage has poor customer service if their answer to dealing with a product complaint is to blame the customer when trying to rectify the situation.

UPDATE: I returned to Amy's Cottage to retrieve the shoes. My original receipt had a note on it insinuating that I had stolen the shoes! I have never been so offended by a business. I will not shop...

Recently went to Amy's Cottage for a gift. Noticed they were carrying a less expensive line of earings than in the past. As we were leaving I saw by the check out counter a selection of CANDY CIGARETTES. Most stores by this time have recognized the need to be socially responsible at least when it comes to children and their health. When I asked the owner about them, her response was it was "peoples choice".
