Golden Ticket Cinemas Kandi 6 — Local services in Willmar

This was a very disappointing theatre experience! The ticket booth was not operating, the lights were off. We (all of the patrons) stood in line at the concession counter to pay for our ticket(s) and purchase popcorn and pop at the same time, the result was a long wait time. The "butter your own" popcorn area was not very appealing, Only one machine was operating, only one of the napkin holders had napkins in it, and the area needed cleaning up, including the salt area. On to the seats we finally went. The lighting was VERY dim, I had to feel my way into the seat . The previews came on VERY loud! The feature movie was A COMPLETE UNKNOWN. A majority of the crowd had white or silver hair like me. The previews were for a younger crowd, which I am sad to say, movies like that should not even be made. I turned my head a few times because I don't want to see that kind of crap! In business, you need to know your customer. Even if that's all you have to show: DON'T!

I enjoyed the movie. The seat was comfortable.

Now after the movie I am waiting in the lobby for my son who is using the bathroom before our 45 minute drive home. Two employees are coming down the hall with a broom and dustpan in hands. The task is to sweep up popcorn and debris from the floor. The young lady was doing it properly, the young man had a cell phone in one hand looking at it so he could not do the task assigned to him. He was walking along just a step behind with broom and dustpan in the other hand. The butter/salt area was still in unacceptable condition. I worked many years during high school at 3 local theatres in Renville County operated by one family. As a former worker and now a consumer I was disappointed in my theatre...

You guys aren't too bad of a movie theater. I, for one, like the old style of the theater! Along with that, there are lots of movies you can pick from in this retro mall!

One concern I have the most about this place are the prices. The prices for food like soda and just a simple small popcorn are way too high in some aspects (excluding deals and combos). You guys probably have lots of viewers of the theather a day and probably won't even read this review, but the prices are a little above and beyond. Another concern is the candy selection, I, and probably some others, would love some new candy selections!

Besides my two concerns, I have many pros! I can't tell you how well the speakers sound in this place! The popcorn's amazing, the Slushies are delicious, the soda selection's the best and many more! Update, asked for half salt today and the popcorn is fantastic. This doesnt always work though. Today they said no. Bummer. Thank you

Popcorn is so salty it just burns your throat. All the orange pieces of popcorn in my photo are the ones loaded with salt. This isn't just a once in a while thing but every time we go. I now have a popcorn bucket I'm not sure I can use. Otherwise it's a decent theater. Pricey and the butter machine is dirty and only one side works. Just wish the popcorn was better especially for the price they charge. What's a movie without popcorn. They always let me get the bucket half full so I can butter, then go back and fill up the bucket. Great...
