I’ve eaten here lots and lots of times and the food is absolutely delicious. I am allergic to seafood so we only usually get beef or chicken, but so far my favorite 3 chickens have been the orange, sweet and sour, and generals. The orange chicken has real orange pieces in it which are perfectly paired with sweet and citrusy chicken. The sweet and sour chicken is perfectly crispy and the sauce is the best sweet and sour I’ve had at any Chinese or Asian restaurant it’s very fresh tasting and tastes authentic and not too sweet like most buffets. The generals is a super good option if the other two citrusy chickens aren’t your thing, it’s solid crispy and goes good eaten on their rice. The beef and broccoli is another favorite of mine and my family’s we love sharing an order of this. I love how fresh everything always is, for side dishes to split we always get the lo mein or chicken lo mein which in my opinion have a slightly different taste from each other but both are lovely options. One of my favorite things about golden palace is how fresh the food always tastes, and how large the portions are. One dinner plate gets me 2-3 meals when eating sides with them, and it all reheats well in the oven. The prices are reasonable for the amount of quality food you get, and I’ve never had issues with cross contamination (for severe allergies) or substitutions, which in and of itself is priceless for someone with not a lot of options that can meet both. I’ve also brought friends and family from out of state to eat here and it’s always the place everyone asks for when visiting now. Overall I think the only thing that could make this place better is buffet options or mix and match meals that are more than one thing for people not able to split multiple meal choices...
Read moreI ordered 60.00 worth of food over the website and got home with chicken chow mein of something else other than what was expected. I returned to the store and the cashier told me it was my fault and I can't pronounce it properly than I shouldn't order it. She said I was being cheap and ordered a single me from another spot on menu labeled identical as the other but it was a meal and not just noodle as expected. She was so rude I was afraid to pay the difference and get food that may have spit in it. The cashier was so unprofessional and rude I just left it on the counter. I asked if there was a manager to talk to and she declined and said to call the phone number provided on the menu, I did that and she kept hanging up on me and wouldn't take the call. I gave up after 3 attempts and went the the panda garden down the street where the portions are larger and good customer service if ever a issue arises. I was just let down and don't want anyone else to experience the same thing that happened to me. Saturday...
Read moreOne of my favorite places. The food & service are always 1st rate. Extremely confused to see one review complain they close the buffet an hour before closing given they DO NOT HAVE a buffet. Similarly surprised/confused to see two reviewers compare the food unfavorably to buffet food. It is nothing even remotely like food you might expect to get at a buffet, though some buffets can be very good. Then again they share the same last name, so perhaps birds of a feather. I seriously wonder if these 3 reviews confused this restaurant with another. I have seen them very rarely get a bit overwhelmed when it is unexpectedly busy (and everyone is looking for help), but if you really want fast food you should simply go to a fast food restaurant. I wholeheartedly...
