Thank you, William, and Island Computers - Our New PC is Running Perfectly!!

We presented William with our issue: my boyfriend upgraded his gaming rig and we planned to use his previous hardware to build out our new PC for our business. He upgraded his rig because after powering on things would freeze and Windows couldn't load. All of the components were top-tier, so after process of elimination we decided the CPU was probably bad and needed replacing. Hence our visit to Island Computers.

William agreed that it's a 50/50 chance a new CPU could solve our problem. He was very adept in how to troubleshoot the systems and determine how to best move forward. At no point was did we feel sales pressure to purchase anything, although we definitely did!

We did need a new case and William showed us his stock, and spent time going over the pros and cons of the different models. He was very honest and detailed. He also recommended how to best cool the new system so we decided to purchase additional fans.

We were happy to give our money to a small business that has top-tier customer service. Go to Best Buy and ask their employees questions... If you do get one to answer politely, I doubt they will have the robust knowledge that William has. He showed us some pictures of other rigs he helped build and you can't get anything like that at Best Buy!

I just had a great experience at Island computers and I know very little about computers. I went in there very confused and with not much money to spend and the guy behind the desk (Nathan) was a god send. He was super friendly and as soon as I asked for help he walked right around the desk without hesitation and asked me what I needed. This is the 3rd time I've been in there and every single time they have been super friendly and knowledgeable. I just got back from there and I was so happy with what he helped me pick out that I wanted to give them a 5 stars. I don't see any reason to shop anywhere else for my computer needs. Thank you to Nathan and the rest of the staff there, you are awesome!

Edit: They just helped me again and I wanted to add this to my review. I went in with a mic that was broken out of the new packaging. it was functional but a strip on the out side was falling off and not something I would pay for as new. I was sure they would help me but I was impressed with how much they went out of their way for me. Nathan helped me get a new one, but this one was a little damaged too. So, because it was functional, Nathan gave me the better looking one and a 50% refund. Every experience I have with them is always above and beyond expectations. They helped turn a difficult situation into zero hassle. Nathan, TJ, and William were all extremely helpful in the two different days I went in, thank you...

I own a small computer repair business myself and I've always used Island computers as the place to go when I need to buy parts for a build. Recently I purchased a motherboard on Amazon only to find out that the motherboard was bad. There was no way for me to recoup my losses because I didn't purchase the insurance that was provided with shipping and it was a non-returnable item from the seller. This computer was up for a raffle event that I held a couple of days ago for customer appreciation day. A customer won the computer only for me to find out before giving it to them that the motherboard was bad. I thought I was screwed I brought it to Island computers just to double check to see if it could be repaired because sometimes it's good to have a second set of eyes to see what I might be missing. To make a long story short they confirmed that the motherboard was bad and that the wrong CPU was put into the motherboard. So they went above and beyond and offered me a replacement computer at a lower rate than the cost of the computer. I gladly accepted the offer and now I have a happy customer who won an awesome build and Island computers has won a long life partner and customer with me. I will from now on only go to Island computers for parts that I need. I thank you guys so much! you guys are great! I'll see you in the next...
