Baker Street Curiosity Shop — Local services in Wilmington

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! When I first moved here six years ago, I stumbled upon this place while driving around and getting lost. I needed some furniture, some accent pieces and some art and knick-knacks. I ended up spending a reasonable amount of money on furnishings for my new house, and I still look at each piece like it was the first time I discovered it in this place. The staff are friendly, and they know their pieces and the eras. The place is laid out so that if you're looking for retro, then it's in one area, and if you're looking for something from the 80's, or 70's or 60's, they all have their little area, so that your brain is not overwhelmed with pieces from different times comingled. I absolutely could not love this shop more! They have such an amazing eclectic selection from art work and furniture to antiques and oddities. All the staff are kind and welcoming. The store is organized but still offers a seek and find atmosphere giving the thrill of the hunt. Their prices are very reasonable, making great treasures attainable without costing an arm and a leg. Always fun to visit and shop here. Definitely not like all the other vintage and antique stores you normally find around Wilmington. You'll find curiosities, strange old pieces, records and kitsch that'll add to your home. EDIT: We still come here on the regular to see what's new. if you've never been, I'll break it down for you.
