McKinnon's Market & Super Butcher Shop — Local services in Wilmington

I go there often .. meats are excellent... but tonight 12/23/22 I had 4 party subs ordered , 3 meatball and a turkey .. well they lost power in the wind storm due to a downed tree .. I got there and all the lights were out and I went into panic mode .I looked at my phone and noticed a missed call from a # I didn't know. I called it and it was Christine from McKinnons , she had called me on her own phone and told me they had the turkey sub ready but couldn't heat the meatballs . They informed me they would give me everything packaged up and I could heat up at home.they went above and beond to make eveything rite in a situation totally out of their control. They made the party a success and were wonderful to deal with. Thank you McKinnons.....So now I need to add to last year's review. 12/20/23 I call to order 3 party subs for 12/22 . They tell me they can't do it , too busy !! Now mind you ,for the meatball subs the last 2 or 3 times I got them they gave me all the ingredients separate and we had to heat them up and make subs ourselves which is actually great . But no ..to busy ..it's Xmas time , it's gonna be busy , how can they not handel the business? It's time to buckle down and take care of your customers , that's the business you're in .. absolutely...

I will NEVER go here again! Many items have no price listed anywhere!!! The corn in its skin was not listed and was $1.00 each! No price on watermelon so i didn’t bother Major jam up with 5 carts in the produce aisle between restocking on each side then 4 other people jammed up so i couldn’t move until they moved.. I looked at the Roast Beef in the case…slabs of messy RB all sitting together. I bought a pound and it said $10.99 a pound. The only sign i saw was a little sign that said RB $6.99 a lb… When i questioned the guy he said “ That’s only for Mckinnons RB NOT. Luccis” HUH? No sign distinguishing the two!!! BIZARRE … Expect to pay almost double at least 1/3 more for EVERYTHING… I miss Luccis i’m done! I’ve been going to the Everett location since i was a kid… Well I went again in Wilmington and it seems like they’ve gotten their stuff together more… Employees were very helpful and nice… I’m very happy they’ve made improvements and I will go there more… I’m happy because back in the day i’d travel miles to go to the Everett location and...

I love this food store! It's a little small and prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for! I love their huge selection of prepared foods, the deli and how nice the staff is. One day they were out of my favorite flavor of Polar Seltzer water and was bummed out. I asked an employee when they were going to have the orange vanilla back in stock and i was so shocked by his reaction. He immediately stopped what he was doing and checked out back for me! He managed to find one case in the back and gave me a coupon for the seltzers as well! He was SO nice! He was more than happy to help and didn't make me feel like a pain! You rarely get service like that at big chain supermarkets, so Lucci's will always be my go to supermarket...
