Platinum Cutz — Local services in Wind Gap

This last visit was my 2nd time coming here. The first time was for me and I was impressed but not won over. See for the past 4 years I was going to Gentleman's Barbershop located in Easton, PA. And they treated me excellent. So, naturally when my pride and joy was ready to be like dad, we went to Ronald. It was a disaster! I didn't know how to feel? Was I embarrassed, Anger, or disappointed? with both my son and the man who has treated me so well for years. I just figured that maybe this was a bad day at Gentleman's and Liam was just too fussy. So naturally when it was time to get cleaned up, we went back to Gentleman's Barbershop and back to Ronald. I watched from a far as Ronald didn't interact or give Liam the time of day. He looked as if he was rushing and moved aggressively with ever clipper stroke he took. My boy looked as if he was going to cry but held it back. And after all of that my boy had hair left on his face, uneven cuts and I felt hurt because of how Ronald is this over the top friendly guy with men but with kids he is cold and acts like he has something better to do! I tried to somehow justify it in my mind that maybe Liam moved too much or didn't hold his head the right way. But he didn't and Ronald treated him this way the first time, second time, and the last time. So I found Platinum Cutz Barbershop & Tattoo and tested the waters for myself. As I stated earlier I was not won over due to the polar opposites of my previous barbershop and Platinum Cutz. It wasn't until I brought my now 5 year old son to Mike. Mike sat Liam down and immediately I seen care coming from Mike and a smile that lasted on my son's face for the entire hour he was in that chair. I watched Mike laugh, smile, and play along with Liam. Mike wasn't just a barber cutting some kids hair he was making a friend. I watched with such pride as my boy was enjoying himself and so was his barber! The hometown feel that Platinum Cutz has is unlike anything I have experienced in my life. Oh and the prices for Platinum Cutz are perfect and not over priced. I was getting ripped off by my previous Barbershop and didn't even notice. My husband was looking for a local barber to cut his hair. Normally, we would have to take a ride to get his hair cut properly. He has very kinky (coiled) hair & most times when I call a new salon & ask if they have experience with his type of hair the answer is not very reassuring. So, we called & talked to the barber who had plenty of experience with all types of hair, went online & made an appt. I was pleased to see that he was a master barber as well. The shop itself looks & feels like an authentic barbershop. I left to go to the bank, came back & my husband's hair already looked amazing. It was obvious the barber knew 100% what he was doing. My husbsnd was obviously comfortable & looked happy. Being African American he has a hard time getting a good haircut. This wasn't just a good haircut it was probably the best haircut my husband has ever gotten since we've been together. That's 7 yrs of haircuts! The barber was also wonderful answering my questions about hair care. I was asking about products to help his hair grow longer & stop breakage. The big test was when we got in the car. Usually the hat goes right back on. Nope, not today. He left his hat off as we ran the rest of our errands & I could truly see how pleased he was with his hair. Bottom line, 5 star service. The prices were more than fair. The environment was relaxed & friendly. I would 100% recommend this barber shop to anyone. It's obvious he loves what he does & absolutely earned his title as...

I have been going to Platinum Cutz(Adrian) for over 15 years. In those 15 plus years, I have seen that he takes great pride in his work and never stops trying to be the best in all aspects of his job. The variety of services that he offers and the quality in which he provides these services are unmatched. But being an amazing Barber is not enough for Adrian, he is also an amazing human being who loves giving back to the community he serves. Events such as his "Back to School" community event in August, or his "Helping Families in Need Holiday Christmas Tree" in November-December are just 2 examples of the different community outreach programs that Platinum Cuts has been instrumental in setting up and running with success year after year for the community. All in all, whether you go for an Adult or Child Haircut, or you need the stylish look for a Wedding or Prom, know that you will recieve quality service in every aspect of your visit and you will get to know an amazing person while you're there.
