I had an excellent buying experience at Jarrett-Gordon Lincoln, who met their commitments, offered a fine value, and most of all treated me as a valued customer. I wanted the car, a 2021 Lincoln Nautilus SUV ("car"), if it was right. The salesperson, Jack Slater, helped me see that the car was in the condition I wanted, from over 1000 miles away. He was a pleasure to deal with, and I highly recommend him, and the dealership as a whole if he is representative of the other employees of this company. For an out-of-state or local purchase, you will be treated well and with competence, and that just makes everything less stressful.
Jack dealt with a complicated situation with attention, patience, and grace. There were some complications of a remote sale (out of state, I am in New York and had the car shipped to me), but he stayed with and treated me with respect and did not get angry or dismissive when I worked through it. He gave me full attention from day one. The process extended over a week for various details to be worked out (paperwork, etc. and stuff on my side). Everything just flowed smoothly, orchestrated very well by Jack.
The car had a different advertised price on one web site from the asking price on Jarrett-Gordon's own direct site. The lower price is what caught my attention initially. On the initial call, Jack immediately checked and told me the lower price could be honored, AND that the car was in fact Lincoln certified (a CPO) when I asked if it could be: no additional price to certify, etc. No games. (The certification was also not indicated on the web site.)
Fees were moderate compared to almost any other Florida dealer (dealership fees get crazy high at some Florida dealerships), around $1200 including added costs for service of registering the car out of state (no need for me to go to NY DMV). Factor fees in, of course, but they were fully disclosed up front. Another Florida dealership showed $5000 in "fees" when I inquired on a similarly-priced Nautilus.
Jack Slater was the face of the dealership to me (with some interaction with Luis and Joe in finance for paperwork), and he was fantastic. I imagine he must have a manager there, but I didn't have to play the wait-for-manager game! Jack sent photos, set me at ease that the car was in good shape. (It was in FANTASTIC shape despite having over 45k miles, the most mileage of any car I have ever purchased. Shocked how great it was when I saw it in person for the first time at the end; it was immaculate and nearly as indistinguishable from new as I could imagine). He checked on maintenance, showed me photos to show all the accessories, etc. He was patient when relatively late in the process I inquired about a comparable but much lower mileage Nautilus that was also available as a somewhat higher priced alternative the dealership also had for sale.
There is a risk buying a car site unseen, especially a used one, but Jack acted as my eyes and ears.
At the end, when the transport driver was running late to pick up my vehicle a few days ago, Jack went back to the closed dealership (it was just after business hours) to meet him and deliver the car, avoiding a potential big problem. Just another example of how Jack provided great service, pays attention, and addresses customers' concerns. He proactively resolved my earlier concerns on later calls as followup. I felt listened to and never rushed. It was as though I were his only customer, which I certainly was not.
Finally, let me mention that when I learned that to combat fraud, Jarrett Gordon needed me to verify the signing with Maverick (a kind of remote notary service), the dealership picked up the cost. Another dealer asked me for nearly $1000 for this. Superb and honorable, JG swallowed it.
Seems crazy to buy a car half way across the country, but it was a good car/value. A great salesperson made it easy and reassuring. If you want a great experience/car, near Winter Haven, Florida or far, give consideration to Jack Slater and Jarrett-Gordon...
Read moreVictoria Wills was an incredible saleswoman and I would without a shadow of a doubt trust her to work with anyone I know and I have already highly recommended her since my purchase.
My experience: I was the proud owner of a 2020 Lincoln Aviator Reserve. Prior to this I have owned many other brands thinking they would be a better luxury brand for whatever random reason however I always wished I could go back to the day I owned my first Lincoln (which was) MKX. All Lincoln’s have just the most comfortable ride and they are so quiet on the inside preventing you from hearing the road noise. But add on to those benefits the luxury you get in a Lincoln is truly unmatched. Back to my Aviator: my family had outgrown it and I was on the hunt again for yet another luxury vehicle but only bigger. I made Jarrett Gordon Lincoln my last stop on my adventure— yet again I entertained the idea of all these other luxury brands. But for my peace of mind I knew I needed to check out the Lincoln Navigator one more time. Enter in Victoria: if you have met her you know what I mean— let’s just say she doesn’t look like the typical car sales lady (in a good way). I (initially) reluctantly allowed her to show me the 2024 Lincoln Navigator Reserve on their lot. And I was instantly impressed!! Victoria KNOWS what she is talking about! A literal powerhouse! She was patient with me and supportive of my desire to see all my options. We talked through all the options multiple times just to make sure I’d be at peace with my purchase. One of the sales managers even mentioned that they were discounting this 2024 Lincoln Navigator Black Label to the same price as the Reserve to clear room for the arrival of the 2025 inventory. When Victoria presented this news to me I was hesitant but excited— I have always dreamed of one day owning a Black Label (IYKYK). This vehicle is the top of the top when it comes to luxury the leather is from an Isle in Scotland and is hand dipped multiple times through the staining process to ensure the highest quality. Let me tell you, you FEEL that luxurious upgrade! It literally has every added feature and all for the same price as the Reserve I was originally looking at. So you know I went with the 2024 Lincoln Navigator Black Label. Jarrett Gordan and all of their staff have been exceptional but truly couldn’t be more grateful that I was created by Victoria...
Read moreI completed a Lincoln survey that asked what went well during my car buying experience-- at Jarrett Gordon Ford Lincoln, everything went well!! I purchased a 2024 Nautilus Black Label on 3/1/25 at Jarret-Gordon Lincoln. Victor Ballesteros was the sales rep. I spoke with Victor on the phone on the day before (Friday) coming to the dealership, and drove from Jacksonville FL (4 hours) on Saturday to make the deal because of Victor. Victor was very very (yes, I typed the same word twice) professional, extra courteous, and extremely knowledgeable about all Lincoln vehicles. He paved the way for my deal. There was no bait and switch- what Victor promised to do, he did. He worked out a great price ahead of time, and then when I arrived, Sales Manager Mike sealed the deal with a best and final offer. The sales staff backed up Victor on every aspect. Victor went over every detail of the vehicle. I am 65 and have purchased many vehicles for myself and helped my two daughters over the years. This was the most professional car buying experience I have ever had. Victor efficiently performed his role, coordinated with Mike Sales Manager, and Michael finance manager. Victor was able to help me get an OUTSTANDING sales price, and a generous amount for my trade in vehicle. While at the dealership, I spoke with many other staff and everyone was absolutely the most professional I have seen. My wife and I were treated with the utmost respect, and lunch too! I even met the general manager while there- he was an absolutely great person to speak with, and asked me how he could help. I told him where I was at with the deal and he then spoke with sales manager Mike. He was a very nice and genuine person to deal with. All the staff raved about how they liked working for him. This dealership is top notch. There are two Lincoln dealerships in Jacksonville, but I chose to drive 4 hours one way, to make a deal at Jarrett-Gordon Lincoln. I also spoke with other Lincoln dealers in Florida on the days leading up to my purchase. All the Lincoln staff should be commended. I even spoke briefly with Ford staff too, and they were great as well. Thanks!!! I am very happy with the deal. By the way, I am still coordinating with Victor on a few minor issues- thanks Victor for service...
