Florida Garden Motel — Hotel in Winter Haven

The room is clean is the only positive thing I can say. There is no ice or ice machine. The kitchenette has a full size stove but a mini frig. What sense does that make. They tell you in my case 210.00 then charge you 248.00. They don't even provide an invoice!!! Just your credit card showing the charge. This has got to be illegal. They hound you about not smoking in the rooms and to keep it clean but don't even have a PHONE IN THE ROOM. I will never stay here again! Thank goodness it is just for the one week.

After speaking with the manager I have changed my rating. He was very accomodating and explained how and why the charges were what they were. He also explained in an attempt to keep the overhead down they don't have a lot of the amenities larger chains may have. Like I said, the rooms are really clean. The design is of the room is even rather nice. My only real issue was not seeing how and why I was charged what I was, the lack of the basics like a phone and ice. as well as constantly stating "no smoking" in the rooms. I hate having my son stereotyped. Many may smoke in the room even if it's non smoking but he was is not designed that way. We're a military family and understand order...

Me and my fiance and my child was staying there we stayed there for over a month we had a big fridge in our room that did not work only the freezer so they put a small fridge in there the oven does not work except on broil they have German roaches big palmetto bugs in the ceiling is leaking and it has mold all they do is paint over it and everything else then they will not give you your deposit back when you check out we checked out I cleaned the room it was spotless look very nice we did nothing wrong and they still wouldn't give us our deposit back because they're nasty do not rent we are actually calling people on them I am calling the health department people on them they have mold in them rooms they do not care my child was getting...

This dump doesn't even deserve a 1 rating. Its more like negative infinity. Filthy stinking rooms, water damaged ceiling and lets not forget the stained towels. The window blinds were missing half of the blinds so had ti use nasty towel just to have privacy. Notice on door said check out was 2 pm but they were pounding on door at 10 am threatening to call police if we didn't leave right then.The management is awful and. rude as can be.
