Cady Way Pool — Local services in Winter Park

I would normally would give this place a five star rating because of the cleanliness and great staff. Im pretty regular at this specific pool throughout the summer I attend every week and I never had an issue or complaint before until this summer of 2022. Unfortunately, this summer I have witnessed on multiple occasions a couple of the life guards displaying unacceptable and unprofessional behaviors when dealing with the public. I have witnessed two in particular female life guards yelling at children, talking to the children in an ill manner, negatively threatening to kick the children out the pool and in my utter shock I have over heard the life guards talk negatively about the camp children that were in the pool. Just last week I witnessed a female life guard with short blonde hair in a buzz cut like hair style wearing mirror -like shades leaning over her chair and yelling at a 7 year old little girl to stop running and if the child continued to run she would kick her out the pool. The child being reprimanded stood frozen in place with clear embarrassment in her face and just looked around at her friends. It hurt my heart to watch this unfold. I work with children so I am all for enforcing the rules and policies but in the correct manner by being firm, reminding children of our rules, our expectations and what are the consequences of their choices. It is never ok to speak children in a demeaning manner Or single them out publicly and make them feel bad. Candy way pool needs to reevaluate some their lifeguards and retrain some of these young ladies on interpersonal skills and professionalism in handling situations...

The pool is always clean, and they always make sure Ph & chlorine are one hundred percent as they’ve asked us to step out of the pool for 30 minutes once in a while to get the levels right. I appreciate the cleanliness. On top of that, the lifeguards are super polite, and always kind. Blessed that this pool is in our community here in Winter Park...

Great public pool in a great town. On alternating days there are 25 yard lines or 50 meters. The pool is kept very clean and is monitored by a lifeguard.
