Avoid going to the Winter Park location. Absolutely the worst experience. This was my first time experiencing and trying a Dutch Bros location and I waited over 35 minutes for my drink that I ordered online for pick up. The drive-thru lines are an absolute mess and youāre unable to leave once youāre in the line so if you change your mind, youāre stuck. Their employees donāt even know their app because they tried telling me I selected the wrong type of car instead of the brand of car but they only allow the selection of the color and type of vehicle and I drive an SUV so I selected that option but the employees donāt know what an SUV is because they walked right past my car and their excuse was that I drive a Jeep, not an SUVā¦.which is the brand of my car and not the type of car. And then I was scolded about that after waiting so long for my drink for something that wasnāt even my fault because the app does not have the option to choose the specific type of vehicle I drive. No āsorry for the long waitā, āenjoy your drinkā, or even a simple āgood morningā. Customer service was no where in the building. After 35 minutes and I finally get my drink, I still had to sit in the line for another 10 minutes because I was stuck behind someone that actually came after me but they took their order first because they donāt know how to work 2 lines (which probably means they shouldnāt have 2 lines since they have to merge into one anyway). So I couldnāt even leave the line once I had my drink because I was trapped in. So many things need to change about this location. No one apologized for the long wait. Waiting almost 40 minutes for a simple drink (a chai latte) is outrageous. Trapping your customers in line so that they canāt leave is just absolute insanity. I hate to compare but Starbucks wouldāve had me in and out in of the drive thru in less than 60 seconds even without an online order. I have never in my life waited that long for something as simple as a drink. Godforbid I ordered food. Every drink took at least a full 10 minutes to make per car. Honestly, why is it taking that long for a drive thru to make a drink, especially when thatās a majority of what they sell? And then to get my order and not even be able to leave the line and still sit there and waste my gas even more because I was trapped in it was ridiculous. I was literally held there against my will because I wanted to leave and I wasnāt able to with the way that the drive-thru is formatted. The drink itself was great. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to do something special for my wifeās second day at her new job, so I preordered drinks for both of us at the closest Dutch Bros. The order confirmed with a 10min wait time, so I headed out right away.
When I arrived, the place was packed, which I though might be normal for mornings and it should still go fast enough. But what I didnāt expect was to be stuck in the drive-through for 40 minutes waiting for drinks I had already preordered and prepaid. Not only did I miss giving my wife her drink before she had to leave for work, I didnāt see her anymore that morning and ended up being late to my own job because of this huge delay. Since immediately after my arrival, more cars pulled up behind me, I was literally stuck.
The only explanation I got was that there were some specials or giveaway going on, and that they apparently eventually brought on more staff, but that didnāt help the customers like me already waiting forever. If you know a day will be extra busy, you should be prepared ahead of time!

It was in the fact that the person who took my order did not scan my code for my rewards and then when I asked if she did, her response was ā youāll have to ask at the window and see if they can do it there, I already charged youā yes she charged me and made sure to include a tip. Finally make it to the window to wait for my order (two frozen coffee beverages) I ask and they say sorry we canāt apply your purchase to your account. Now 25+ minutes later still waiting at the window while the other person there makes more small talk and holds up the line longer, as there are 15 cars behind me. I get two almost melted āblendedā drinks. Off I go, super disappointed and havenāt been back since. Just not worth the hassle, the wait and poor experience when youāre already waiting that long and get melted drinks that were to be āfrozen/blendedā in the end.
