Public Storage — Local services in Winter Springs

I stopped in yesterday to rent a storage unit and was greeted by Mike (manager on duty) as I walked in the door. It was nice that he promptly looked up from his other work and not only acknowledged me, but gave me his undivided attention as well.

The rental process went smoothly, he told me the different sizes and monthly prices for each storage unit and was very helpful in discussing each of them to help me decide on the best size for my needs. He also showed me each of the sizes of the units we had discussed. When it came time for the paperwork, it was all very straight forward and hassle free. They have a special of a $1 for the month's rent going on and it really is $1. There are no hidden fees like some other places kind of do. Mike was very patient in waiting for me to sign all the paperwork too because I like to read it all before I sign things. Many places are in a rush to hurry you in and out of their business. For this Public Storage facility in particular, Mike's patience and full explanations were not only helpful but he took his time in doing it too. Having rented a few storage units in the past, I would highly recommend this Winter Springs Public Storage Location.

I will also add that I had forgotten when we looked at the units to make sure there was no evidence of water leaks and etc. I mentioned it to Mike after I had rented the unit. Instead, of rushing me away with a quick explanation, he gave me an explanation of how they maintain the units AND then offered to take me back over to the unit for me to see. Now, even though he knows their units are leak-free, I liked that he took the time to take me back over and make sure that I was okay with the particular storage unit I had rented. It not only made me feel better, but was also nice to know that he cared enough to make sure I was comfortable with the unit I had rented.

Additionally, about the units specifically, I could tell by observation of the office, the drive on the property, and looking inside the units themselves that it is all well maintained, clean and bug-free. I would also add that I like these units in particular because the ceilings are solid metal and NOT the mesh chicken wire that you see in some storage unit places, this helps to prevent any of your neighbors "pets" from getting into yours.

Having experience in inspecting properties for signs of water damage for FEMA during the hurricanes years ago, I can say that I saw no evidence of any water issues. Many of other storage companies have worn out rubber trim at the bottom of the doors which is a water source during our afternoon thunderstorms, and for this storage facility, of the units I saw, all of these were in great shape.

This storage facility also has a 24 hour on-site Manager who lives on the property in addition to the security gates where you enter your code to get in. I am giving this a review of 5 stars for sure as it's not often you interact with a business that has a courteous and knowledgeable staff, a good product, a clean business, and reasonable pricing (although their prices on boxes seemed high to me, honestly you can get boxes cheaper at Office Depot or Staples. However, I did purchase a good lock which was cheaper than most you would find online). I would even drive further out of my way to rent from this storage unit rental place if I had to because of the wonderful staff and great maintenance of...

The manager there is a liar. I was told if I have all of my stuff out of the unit plus the unit is clean and unlocked I would not be charged the following month for rent. although I had all of my stuff out of the unit and it was unlocked and clean and I checked in with the front counter person the day before and called her on the day of the first I was still charged on the second because she said that she was not there to make her walk. Even though I called her on the day of the 1st at 9:08 a.m. and she said she hasn't made her walk yet she still lied straight to my face and charged my card $160 and my daughter and I could not eat for 4 days because she took the money out of my account because she didn't want to do her job properly.

She's a fast talker and a straight up liar.

Ohh..do you like rats and roaches...cause you get em both when you put your stuff in these units.

I really hope she loses her job ... So does...

This has been the best storage unit that we have had. when we first went there we were under a lot stress and a very difficult time for us we had just relocated back to Florida but Barbara the Manager went through everything she was very helpful and very caring and very professional in other words our first impression was awesome. The the property is always very clean, the unit is huge everything was clean and and the bathroom is always clean as well. Every time we go there Barbara always greets us with a big smile and has always asked us if we need anything she is always very helpful and very sweet anything we need she always goes that extra step to help us. I feel that all of my belongings in that storage is safe.. I would highly recommend this public storage site to anyone who needs a storage unit.
