Terrible experience! Jon was our salesperson. Scam tactics. We cancelled the account and returned all of our products within 48 hours because of all the hidden details Jon failed to mention. He also wouldn't return our calls the day after he told us how much he cared about his customers. Now, admittedly, reading the fine print falls on us, but this is a sales person who brings new meaning to "snake oil." Despite canceling our account, 3 months later we continue to be billed by Verizon. I've had to contact Verizon Corp. 6 times. Each month I've documented these contacts because of continued charges to a make believe account. Called Jon whose response was, "I just can't do anything for you. That's strange! I can give you the care center number." Now, I'm all in albeit wasting more time on something that didn't have to be. Involved an attorney and the BBB to look into the practices of sales in this store. It appears, if the sales person can make a cancelled account look as if it's still open for a period of time, they can still get their commission and incentives. Bottom Line....totally shady! Read the fine print and listen to your gut. If it sounds too good to be true...it is! On another note, ended up transferring our service to AT&T, in the same plaza, and our sales person was outstanding and...
Read moreI highly recommend that anyone with a Verizon phone in the WR area to make the drive to plover. This is a retailer for Verizon(Mobile Generation) & not a direct Verizon Store. They are only motivated when they know money will be coming there way. The customer service here is terrible.
The gentlemen said, with or without the bundle deal, it would be $250.00 & if we decided to go with the bundle deal; it would be a couple extra dollars a month. We decided to get a new phone & bundle deal, so we paid 250 & would be paying 24 dollars a month. -Not Bad. The numbers were just not adding up that night; So I decided to call verizon corporate, they said it was not $250 either way, it would have only taxes on the phone & $19 a month for the phone.
Knowing there is a $35 dollar restocking fee; We went back the next day to return the phone & package. They failed to mention at all during the initial transaction the 'May apply' charge of 40. The Rep said they would refund $160. I checked with our bank today & instead of refunding us, they charged us another $160.
This has been an...
Read moreWow, I am so glad that next month our phones will be paid off, and we can rid ourselves of Verizon forever. We don't even get service in our house, but that is not the worst of it. The sales representative two years ago (I believe his name was Joe) reeked of marijuana, and I had heard he spent a lot of time at the casino. Anyway, we signed up for a 4 GB plan through him. A month later, we got our bill, and it was over $200! We figured out that Joe had signed us up for an unlimited data plan! We called customer service, and they said they would correct the problem and give us a credit for the following month. The following month rolled around and our bill was over $200 again! So we called customer service AGAIN, and they said they would switch it, but they had no record of us calling the month before and therefore, couldn't give us any of our money back. I am assuming a sales representative gets more commission for selling an unlimited data plan versus a 4 GB plan, so I blame Joe for this mishap, and believe he did it just to get a bigger commission check....
