I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sportsmans, a bar and restaurant in Wisconsin, and I have to say, it was a real treat. The cheese curds were the kind you'd expect in this part of the state - crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, a true taste of Wisconsin. The soup of the day warmed me up just right, like a comforting homemade recipe. And when it came to burgers and sandwiches, they had that hearty, down-home flavor you crave.

But what truly made this visit special was Sandy's hospitality. She treated us like old friends, welcoming us with a warm smile and genuine conversation. It's the kind of service that makes you feel right at home.

Showed up on memorial day. Definitely understaffed, but nothing crazy as there were open seats and tables. Sat at a table for a bit. No service. People came in 10-15 mins after us. Got drinks and put in their food order. The waitress then cleaned the tables around us before even getting us drinks. At that point we had been there for 25 mins. After finally getting drinks, the waitress rolled her eyes when asked to make 2 Shirley temples which she didn’t make correctly/use any alcohol. We were there for 35 mins. Left after our first drinks as we couldn’t believe the attitude she gave us after being ignored for the first 25 minutes. THEY WEREN’T EVEN PLAYING THE BREWER GAME. If i could leave zero stars I would as I’m astonished how we were treated after...

The fried Green Beans were delicious! So was the Fish Fry, wish there was maybe a 4th piece or that the 3 were a little larger, but it was super yummy!!! Although all the tables were full and there were only like 3 people working (2 bar tenders and one cook from what I could tell), the female bartender did a fantastic job running the floor and serving the tables. She was very nice and gave recommendations since my mom and I were in from out of town. And the prices were very reasonable: less than $40 for an appetizer, 2 dinners, and a beer....
