Amity Bowl — Local services in Woodbridge

This was the worst experience I have ever deal with in my life. I arrived at Amity Bowl at 6:20 pm I noticed it was some what crowded. They only had 8 lanes open left. It was only 2 parties ahead of me. When i arrived to the desk for placement the guy behind the desk asked me how many guest did i have? I told him 6 and that i have a groupon , he asked me did i reserve? I said no i didn't think you had to reserve for bowling. So he told me that i had to wait until 7:30pm so cool i waited . As i waited in the front i noticed people coming in and right away get seated to play. I let that go. So now its 7:30 he found a place for me and my family to play. As we start to sit down there's popcorn all over the seats and underneath the seats, drinks spilled all over the table. I went over to the guy who was behind the desk and i asked for him to clean up because its filthy he had an attitude about cleaning up. He eventually started cleaning up. Then as when begun playing we noticed we didn't have any bumpers, the pins didn't go up for the second chance to bowl. so i told the guy behind the counter that we didn't have any bumpers and that either there's something wrong with the scoreboard or the pins. He started telling me that there's nothing wrong with the machine and i showed him what was going on and he reseted it and he told me that there wasn't no bumpers on this particular spot. It's first come first served. Mind you i been waiting for an hour for to play, at the check in desk i specifically told him that i have kids from the ages of 5-9 i need bumpers this is their first time bowling. So as i watched my kids play i noticed how frustrated they were. Which made me upset because i payed my fare share here why should we get treated this way. When i looked around i notice only one 1 family with kids with the real bumpers and other adults had bumpers and they wasn't even using it. So i asked the guy behind the desk if it was okay if i take my last hour remaining and wait until another lane that has real bumpers open up he told me no and they paid their money and time for those lanes. So i let him have a piece of mind. I told him its not fair that you have grown people who aren't using there bumpers bowl in those lanes. When i checked in told you i have kids and i needed bumpers. You sat me where there was a defective machine and popcorn and drinks everywhere. How can you open and establishment with only 8 lanes with real bumpers and others with plastic hose. So 20 mins later the guy comes to me and whisper in my ear if u want u can wait until another lane opens up. So i said no because when i first came to you with the issue you should of took care of it not 20 mins later. Now its 8:50 and my screen is reading 4 mins left to play how messed up is that when i paid for 2 hours. I asked can i speak to a manager because this is ridiculous. Everybody behind the counter ignored me so i personally asked this one guy if he was the manger and he ignored me.I went to the lady i explained my situation to her about my time the manager went into the back and checked to see what time i started playing he couldn't find anything. I just took my kids and left. This is worst place to ever take kids to. Please do not go here You'll be sorry.

This place sucks. There is so many things I have to say about why you shouldn’t go here. First reason is because they claimed that they didn’t do reservations online when there is a page to make reservations on. The man at the front desk was pointing fingers at me and my family saying we were wrong at that the reservation page was only for birthday party’s when the page says nothing about being just for birthday party’s. The man then proceeded to get his administrator and said if we want to complain then we should complain to her. The lady was using fowl language and spitting popcorn in our faces. She told us to get out after she disrespected my family and told us we were wrong. This place smells like onions and there is little kids running around unsupervised screaming and touching everything they shouldn't be. Kids can get hurt and shouldn’t be around people that are using such fowl language. People should be having fun instead of wanting to leave...

Took my cousins here while I'm on vacation from FL. Very disappointed from the time my fiance called till time we left. Shouldnt have came here but was the closest place. The older guy at the desk told my fiance it will be busy that it's best to reserve a lane, we get here and there was probably 6 people total in the place. The place has a weird smell, the equipment is beyond torn and needs a face lift. All the bowling balls seemed as if they were soaked in oil. So slippery to even hold and felt gross. The bowling pins kept coming into the lane and the employees got agitated but I can't help that. Can't tell who are employees because they wear street clothes. No wonder this place is so dead. This bowling alley needs a ton of work. Maybe start with better customer service, cleaner place and a face lift. Also not a good concept to take cash only at the food bar or bar for alcoholic drinks.
