Amity Brick Oven Pizza — Restaurant in New Haven

I found this place when an app I pre ordered with failed to notify me so I wasn't sure what to expect but I was very happy to find it! If you want to take a friend or family member for pizza this place has a few really clean tables for just that. They did a really good job making the store clean and updated while still having that rustic brick-oven-pizza vibe. They had FOXON PARK and more than just pizza:When I was paying I was already thinking I must return for a piece of Vegetable Pie next time! They had an array of stuffed breads in the front case. The crust was delicious and perfect!The guys make your pizza in an open kitchen and put it in the brick oven behind them. If you don't like a lot of garlic defintely say so: a lot of delicious crushed garlic came on our pie and we loved it but if you are someone sensitive to crushed/fresh garlic do let them know. As I was coming from the eye doctor, there was this wonderful aroma of fresh baked food in the parking lot, so I decided to step inside for a quick bite to go. The ambiance inside is astonishing. The decor is very much to my liking. This is the only place in town, where the soda cooler is encased in a wooden cabinet...all very custom interior design. Amity Brick Oven Pizza is clean and well organized. The owner had stromboli and pizza slices ready to go. I ordered a small sausage, bacon, & Mozzarella pizza to go. They have a real brick oven. My pizza was fresh and hot. I ate 2 slices in the car before pulling off. It was "all good"! The crust was perfect. The only critique I would add, is that they should consider using real Italian sausage instead of those little pre-fabricated sausage balls. Bravissimo!...

I came all away from Canada and I indulged in the Penne alla Vodka at Amity Restaurant, and it was an absolute delight. Each bite was a perfect balance of savory and creamy flavors, with the vodka sauce coating the al dente penne pasta just right. The dish had a unique depth thanks to the addition of vodka, enhancing the creamy tomato sauce beautifully. It was evident that the chef had mastered the art of this classic Italian dish.
